My car has a front license plate bracket from a previous life in a state that required front and rear license plates. My state requires rear plates only. I can mount a vanity plate up front and have a Fiero Gt plate that I will drill a small hole in and mount the camera there. It is perfect for my use of avoiding curb damage when parking. I am using a frame mounted solution for rear. I wanted to do this in a way that I didn't have to drill any new holes into my car. The aftermarket head unit I have has inputs for front and rear camera so I am going to use them. I admit that I always felt the camera's to be over rated and not needed until I got my 2014 Cadillac with front and rear camera's..I got used to them and no more occasional bumper kiss on an unfamiliar curb or parking divider. Camera's are cheap compared to body work/paint. I installed front and rear on my 2002 WS6 Trans Am, 1999 Escalade, and my 2010 Grand Sport...now they are going into the Fiero. To me it is just cheap prevention.
