Fabricating a little aluminum heat shield around the coil and the ICM will also help the longevity of the components, the 2.8 crossover and EGR is right near the distributor and the heat is what seems to cause all the failures of ICMs, coils, and cable harnesses. You may already have some heat shielding, but if you do not, I would add some. There is also DEI Titanium Header Wrap, and while I do not actually recommend wrapping headers in it as it always has caused them to corrode in my experience, it is great for using to protect the components in the bay, harnesses, little coolant tubes, throttle cables, etc. The product does an excellent job, you can touch a set of hot headers wrapped in this material and not get burned. But like I said, it will hold moisture and cause the exhaust to corrode. There are of course other heat shielding products that would work equally as well, but the DEI wrap looks slick and is pretty cheap and easy to work with on anything that needs to be wrapped. I may wrap my shifter cables in it.
