As is often the case, the simplest, most obvious answer is usually the correct one.

Looks like it could be the '88-specific nose, but I'd like to see a full pic.

You're saying 88 coupe and 87 coupe had different front fascias?

Early 88 MY: White, Black, Maroon, Silver.
Late 88 MY: White, Black, Red, Yellow.
We know 87 was maroon and late 88 was red (last two Fieros were red). And we know 86 was red only and 87 was maroon only. It's likely those were the same slot. We know yellow was late 88 MY based on the literature stating yellow orders were not delivered until later, and that silver was avallable in 87 so I'm assuming Yellow took the Silver slot. I believe white and black were permanent paint slots from 84-88.

As far as I know, the 87-88 coupe fascias were the same. The rear covers were different, the 87's only had a cutout for single sided exhaust exit, where the 88 had cutouts for a dual exhaust,

I did not realize the '87's used the same nose as the '88's.

I have a blue fiero with the silver rims. Seeing that one makes me think I need to get me some black ones. I have been thinking about getting the gold version but they seem to be rare and expensive to get, black ones are a lot easier to come by.
Also I used this thread to buy touch up paint from "the auto paint depot," and idk if i did it wrong or something but it does not have the same shine or even shade as the original paint. But I guess its better then seeing the black underneath.
