Where to get staggered wheels? (Got coilovers) (Page 2/2)

Correction, 8.5 “ with 30mm offset on the front. According to that wheel width chart on the forums, the wheel would be almost one inch further into the wheel well. Is there enough space for that- if the tire was in one more inch when you turn?

Just a personal opinion on wide tires on the front of a Fiero... The fact that 99.99% of all Fieros do not have power steering, installing wide tires on the front can make driving a Fiero a whole lot less pleasurable. Not only does it make cranking the steering wheel more difficult when the car is barely moving (ie parking), but wide front tires have a tendency of following the "crown" of a paved road.

I used 225 width tires on all four corners for autocross, but I hated those tires on the front for daily-driving. On the front, I much prefer 205 width tires for street use (with 225 on the back).

It is hard to answer a question of this nature... "work" in what way?

It depends on your objectives.

A wheel/tire combo can work in these ways:
Have a stanced look
Have a track look
Have a new fancy car look
Look modified
Look stock
Not rub at all
Rub a little bit on the wheelwells
Reduce steering wheel kickback
Have the maximum amount of grip possible
Have balanced handling
Be easy to steer
Cost little
Reduce the car's acceleration a lot
Affect the acceleration minimally
Give lots of traction

Considering that we don't know what you want to do, it is difficult to say if those wheels will "work" for you.

Once you lay out the important requirements, we can go from there.

I have a set of XXR's. 17x9.5 rear and 17x8.5 front and will fit perfect. They are powdered coated Spanish Fly Gold.
I also have the tires for it. Dunlop Direzzas 225/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rears.

This is how they fit. They are not black anymore.
