Stuck lug nut... Drill bolt? (Page 2/2)

So I was able to remove the lug nut with the nut extractor.

New problem: how the heck can I remove the lug nut from the nut extractor? Or is it a one time use?😕

put in vice and use a punch and hammer to beat the lugnut out.

Buy a long bolt that fits the lug nut threads, hold it firm in a vice. Put your socket wrench on the nut extractor and turn to tighten. That is opposite of the way the extractor tightens on the lug nut and it should back off.

This is actually what I tried (without the vice since I don't have one). I put the lug nut with the extractor on the old rotor then using my car's wrench jammed between two bolts so could use that to (try to) hold the rotor in place while tightening the nut (with extractor) with the socket wrench. That didn't work because I was unable to use enough force. I need to find something else to hold the rotor in place.

Lay the rotor down flat on the driveway with the lugnuts pointing up. Park the car (any car, it doesn't matter) on the flat part of the rotor, being careful not to run over the studs with the tire. That should hold it tight enough.

I have used these damaged lug nut sockets twice now with 100% success. I've removed a rounded two-piece F150 nut. It's why I bought the set. I used the set again to remove the locking nut on my '88 Formula. Worked like a champ. I have since received the key from the seller. I removed the other three locking nuts with it and sh*t canned them.

Well, my reply is a day late and a dollar short. Maybe someone will be helped at another time. Getting the removed nut out from the extractor....you have to beat it out. I punched them out through the square drive hole.
