That's pretty much what happened. I ordered the Fiero Store Ram HD clutch, thinking it would be good. It had no torque rating... and it slips. The purchase price was inexpensive, so that's why I bought it.
I have a Spec Stage 3+ on hand now. It's rated at 543 lb*ft. I just need to do repairs on my other vehicle first, before taking the Fiero out of service for the clutch job. I always want to have at least one working vehicle.
When you cheap out, you end up wasting money by spending twice: Once for the initial cheaper part A second time for the quality replacement with ratings
... whereas going to the higher-dollar solution from the getgo would have been more economical.
I sometimes fall victim to this trap; I need to periodically relearn this lesson.
