Okay, so now I feel a lot better about retaining my transmission and just doing a 3.4 swap for the moment. Probably won't start on it until next year. I only have about 1000 miles on the car right now and I need to get a feel for it, get the AC going and get the thing smogged (I'm getting over 30mph on the freeway so that's probably a good sign for passing California emissions.
