Not sure code 44 is a serious performance issue either. The car runs fine. I will check it though. Thx for the tip/

Bad O2 sensors will change the fuel mix, so it's likely mileage will be affected as well as emissions.

I am in the process of checking this. A question on contaminating an O2 sensor- My car runs fine, but will put out some blue smoke when started after sitting a bit. This stops within seconds of starting. Is it possible this much oil smoke could contaminate a O2 sensor?
