Gotcha. So it's going to need some persuasion. Also yes it's not going to last as long as the factory. All understood. I got the Fiero Store exhaust because it looked like a relatively simple bolt in option. Like I said first whack at this. If it lasts a few years I'm good. Next time it needs something I'll look elsewhere. Just want it on the road for a few summers. This car is parked in the winter. Thanks again. All good points and good info. You guys as always are the best.

You know now that I think about it. Half of the old exhaust is still in the car. Here's what happened. Last time I dropped the cradle and pulled the motor the exhaust got hung up and cracked at the bend right by the axle. I left it figuring I would fix it later. Then life happened. Had a kid, moved, etc. So I just drove it with a crack in it. Well that was 6 years ago and last fall that crack turned into the entire thing sheering off and the muffler, a foot of pipe and the exhaust tip falling out of the car. Embarrassing and I should have welded it up 6 years ago. So couldn't I cut the sheered off pipe, get a good coupling in there and bolt the one foot of pipe, muffler and tip? It needed a new muffler too so. Thoughts? Or should I put it all in?
