I don't understand how it would work because the water passages just don't align. But if you say you're using it without issues, I can't argue that. I just wouldn't take the chance, personally.

So what I am considering after reading all of your responses and talking to Brian at BCC is to run the 3.4 timing cover and intake. The intake can be modified to run backwards like the fiero and I might try to build my own custome belt tensioner that sits between the alternator and water pump up high. If I can do it it would allow me to use most of the original fiero brackets and pulleys except the pump pulls. I could reroute the belt to run the pump backwards and be set. A lot of work and not sure the juice will be worth the squeeze. I already own it all though and it would be different than most of the 3.4 conversions I have seen, so that would be fun.

So thanks again everyone for your input. After doing a tone of research and fiddling out in the garage I have decided the juice is not worth the squeeze. So I also scored a LZE engine complete with 22K on it out of a 2010 Impala today. I had been looking but everything I had found was higher mileage. I figured if I had to rebuild it I minus well use what I had. This guy had been sitting on it for 5 years. It compressioned out at 170 per cylinder. So I though in the towel on the 3.4 and now looking to keep it drive by wire LZE in the fiero. I probably will start a new thread once I get going. Planning on taking three weeks off work to do as much of it as possible. Still have a bunch to acquire though. Thanks again.
