"so far", seems to run and idle a whole lot better than it has in 2 years. they weren't really "Loose", but obviously enough to sometimes leak when you weren't Looking". Heres hoping that it STAYS that way.

Shutting down then restarting sounds like either an ICM or ignition coil breaking down. I've encountered those symptoms with both.

My car alerts me right before I'm "visited" by just shutting off. Usually in a corn field or on a dark, country road. Never seem to be lucky enough for it to happen in town around witnesses. Look around carefully and put the phone on record next time it happens. You're not missing time are you?

You have a sketchy ground or a pinched wire somewhere. Clean all your grounds to be safe, then w the motor running start wiggling the wire harnesses to see if itll die. Somethngs causing your spark to randomly stop. A bad sensor would just make it run funny not cut out randomly. Def change the pickup coil its cheap n not too mucha pain to install.Make sure you mark where the rotors pointing before u pull the distributor.

good luck
