Knowing the current POTUS can not run again, who do you think will become the next candidates for both parties.
Republican: Vance/Rubio, yes I could be wrong on this choice. But, I can always be hopeful.
Democrat: Absolutely no idea. Harris may try but, she (apparently hasn't impressed the Democrats that are in charge or has significant public support. AOC? I hope so (would be a walk off in my opinion for Conservatives. Sanders? Another huge joke. Jefferies? Maybe but, no back bone there. Newsom? Most likely. Some Dem Governor other than Newsom? Possible.

Vance/Rubio kind of makes sense. As does Rubio/Vance. Rubio has acquitted himself nicely. I was pleasantly surprised. Lee Zeldin is making waves at the EPA. He speaks very well. I think he could at least be a contender if he wanted to. I could probably think of a few others if I tried, but I haven't thought much about it.
Newsom? I think he'll get shredded. Almost as badly as Kamala did/would. AOC? Is she even going to be old enough? (Serious question.) Sanders? Not likely. He just doesn't seem like he could be "effective". He's not quite as "doddering" as Brandon, but he's damn near as old. (Yeah... I know. But still.) Jeffries? Maybe a threat. He's a good enough bullshitter. Others? I don't know. None really come to mind, but then I haven't thought much about that side, either.
But it's going to be an interesting 3.5 years. Lots could happen between now and then.
Edit - I wouldn't be surprised to see Erica Kirk in some sort of position. Perhaps not POTUS or VP level - yet. But I believe her star is rising.[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 11-09-2025).]

Reference Mrs. Kirk, while I agree that she's a rising star, I fully expect her to keep her children as a primary focus in her life for a long time. Maybe 2032 but, a lot of things would need to happen for that to come to fruition. But, who knows, you could be right on target.
Who and what follows the DJT/Vance administration is what concerns me.

I believe you're jumping the gun...
California Proposition 50 passed, and the next milestone is the midterms.
What follows Nov 4, 2026, is what concerns me...

You may be right. But other states are reacting. Getting interesting. No doubt in my mind that Dems offering free stuff will encourage more youngsters to get registered. They know not what they seek and how it's going to work once they get it. They won't be pleased with the outcome but, not much I can do about that.

Again there is no free stuff, if you got it for free they took it from someone else.

I remember back in Trump's first term where there was a spoof video showing Trump winning all the way up to ? 2050 or so. There is Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump, Branan Trump, and he has daughters and Grand Daughters.
