Ray, Mike from Syndey who's actually in the US, since you guys are the only ones left... I have some very honest questions to ask you about Ukraine:
- Why did Obama allow Putin to take Crimea and Eastern Ukraine, and Democrats said nothing, and Democrat voters didn't care? - Why now do Democrat voters care that Putin is trying to take more land? What's changed between then and now that makes it matter? - Why with other wars going on (the fall of multiple African countries to Islamic militants, South China Sea, etc.) is Ukraine so important to Democrats. Is it because they're white? This is a serious question. - Knowing that Ukraine has basically no one left to fight, and they are conducting forced conscription, would you be willing to send your own kids to fight that war?
Understand, I'm no fan of Russia. I would love for Russia to lose this, and if I was Ukrainian, I'd want to fight to the death. But I am American, and we have the opportunity to end the war, as it stands now... and Democrats don't want to because... (fill in the blank?) ... is it pride? What is the reason?

I am not in the United States. I am a native-born, U.S. citizen living in Australia (for the last 30 years). I am also a naturalised Australian citizen.
(Also, it’s Mike in SYDNEY, not Mike from Syndey. If the postage wasn’t so high, I’d send you an atlas with all the countries and major cities spelled correctly. You’d have to buy your own Sharpie to rename the Gulf of Mexico, Greenland, and Canada. )

Yes, I've been there several times, it's called a misspelling. You've been one place in the world, and you act like you're so enlightened.
So, you won't answer those questions then? Would you like me to answer them for you?
- Why did Obama allow Putin to take Crimea and Eastern Ukraine, and Democrats said nothing, and Democrat voters didn't care?
Because you're a Democrat, and you're bound by politics, and it's your religion, and since it was a Democrat leader, you didn't care because they didn't tell you to care.
- Why now do Democrat voters care that Putin is trying to take more land? What's changed between then and now that makes it matter?
Because you're a Democrat, and for some INSANE reason, you think Trump won in 2016 because of Russian interference, and as a result, you now hate Russia, when previously most Democrats actually loved Russia. And in some totally insane way, you view an affront to Putin as an affront to Trump. This is literally how insane you people are.
- Why with other wars going on (the fall of multiple African countries to Islamic militants, South China Sea, etc.) is Ukraine so important to Democrats. Is it because they're white? This is a serious question.
Because you haven't yet been told to care, or because they're black, and you (the party of racism), only cares about Ukraine because they're white... and genocide in Asian and African countries isn't really that important to you.
- Knowing that Ukraine has basically no one left to fight, and they are conducting forced conscription, would you be willing to send your own kids to fight that war?
No, of course you wouldn't send your kids there... but you'd definitely send everyone else's kids there.[This message has been edited by 82-T/A [At Work] (edited 03-01-2025).]

Toad,
You don't know Jack about me. You don't know my race, where I've lived, where I've travelled, what I know, what I have experienced, or have done or not done outside of what I've shared. And based on your responses to those that disagree with your position, you're not likely to.
I wrote a lengthy response to this diatribe but after thinking about it before posting (as you really should consider doing), I decided it was not worth the effort. It's like the old saying, "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and it annoys the pig."
I respect your Fiero knowledge and the opinions that you hold but I disagree with most of them so don't be too upset if I don't respond in kind.
Have a nice day and come to see us if you are ever Down Under.[This message has been edited by Mike in Sydney (edited 03-01-2025).]
