The Trump administration said the goal of the executive order is to ensure "taxpayer resources are used to protect the interests of American citizens, not illegal aliens."
Importantly, the order keeps money going to sanctuary states and cities from being used to block the arrest and deportation of illegals, a second attack on sanctuaries. Last week, the administration sued sanctuaries pursuant to the federal Constitution’s Supremacy Clause.

Well gosh, I'm a bit surprised this took so long because Illegal Immigration was IMHO the biggest reason DJT surfed that Red Wave to the Oval Office.

Odd isn't it? Illegal aliens have been a BIG problem here in my state for at least as long as I've been able to vote and all of a sudden, it's just NOW 'a problem', and only because it finally affected people beyond the border states. ......

Prosecuting businesses that employ undocumented workers is rare. Even during President Donald Trump's first term, Immigration and Customs Enforcement did not often exercise that authority.
In the year between April 2018 and March 2019, ICE filed seven criminal cases against 11 people for employing workers in the country illegally. No companies were charged during that period, according to the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, a data-gathering nonprofit at Syracuse University.
The arrests prompted alarm in Los Fresnos, a border town of fewer than 10,000 people in Cameron County.
Los Fresnos Mayor Alejandro Flores called the situation "frustrating" in a statement posted on Facebook.
"As this is an ongoing issue, we are unable to speculate at this time," Flores said. "I do agree that this doesn't look good and since ICE is not putting out any statements, we are left to speculate. My prayers are with Mr. Leonardo Baez and his family during 'this difficult time'. |

The left have been saying for years that illegal aliens are here for jobs, not welfare. I have heard for years that it is a myth that illegal aliens come for welfare. If that is true, then this EO will have no effect. I expect the Democrats to prove their own lie when they lose their minds over this EO.

I was expecting "FINISH THAT WALL" at rallies for his second term.

I think you mean "the order keeps money from going to sanctuary states and cities.
On another note, I am hearing rumblings that the illegal aliens on "parole" before their asylum hearings would be eligible for tax payer assistance.
