I watched the first part, but I am working part time today, so I'll watch the rest of it later.
I know about the Liberty, and the coverup, and the comments from LBJ... all of which are horrible.
But on a more modern perspective... the attack was in 1967, and while I am not suggesting that we forget it... the Israeli prime minister at the time apologized.
Do we never forgive? We had a tenuous relationship with Japan after Pearl Harbor until we nuked them, twice... but we play nice now.
I'm just not sure what the angle is. I'd rather not watch the whole hour, but I know that Candace Owens hates Israel, and is often making comments against Jews... so who knows.

I remember it quite well and it didn't seem right as reported back then and seems even more 'off' now. Wiki has quite a lengthy article on it but I doubt the American public will ever ever know what really happened and why.
(anyone that has ever served aboard a USN ship knows the flag flown while underway is not some tiny small flag.)
DD963..a warship about the same size as Liberty.:

You might want to save yourself some time as the rest of it devolves quickly into a lot of wild conspiracy theories and general whackjobbery.
Watch it if you must for entertainment only.

I don't want to trash the guy. I'm not opposed to believing conspiracies (there's always SOME truth to them). But if I take him at his word, literally, there would be a heck of a lot more stars in Langley and a lot more names on the wall in Fort Meade. I think this is one of those situations where you have to Occam's Razor it...
I also know that Candace is vehemently anti-Jewish, ... AND, anti Israel (both).

I'm not "trashing" that Navy Veteran. I think he honestly, from his viewpoint and info, believes that his ship was intentionally attacked by the Israelis and he wants to know why.
The big unanswered question he doesn't seem to ask is: "TO WHAT END?"
What did the IDF have to gain by purposely attacking a U.S. Navy ship during the 67' Six Day War?
The "head conspiracy theorist" and purveyor of whackjobbery is Candace Owens, (i.e "the Mossad was involved in the JFK assassination and 9/11" and assorted other wild, unsubstantiated claims).
While I do appreciate her conservative voice on most subjects political and social, I don't look to her for historical insight and accuracy.[This message has been edited by randye (edited 12-14-2024).]

There is absolutely zero chance that it was anything other than an intentional attack by Israel.
Why, is the only question.
