Will improperly applied laws result in harm to America?

There will be consequences. Kevin O'Leary says what is going to happen to NY. In short, NY is radioactive to investors and I assume Deleware is too. That is what happens when politics puts its thumb on the scales of justice.

Improperly applied laws invariably lead to the painful experience of the law of unintended consequences.

Unfortunately the rest of us get dragged along into the disasters Leftoids create.

Leftists live almost entirely in their "emotional moment" like children. There is no thought of the past. There is no thought of the future.

There is only right now. We Gotta get Trump!!

Leftists gotta Leftist

all the RUMP had to do was

NOT COMMIT THE CRIMES

NO ONE MADE HIM LIE AND OVER VALUE HIS STUFF
COMMIT TAX FRAUD
CREATE FAKE LOANS WITH EXPENSES FOR TAX FRAUD
RAPE

like others all he had to do was be honest
but he could not

Don't ever think your contribution goes unappreciated.

Ray,

Have you ever bought a home, gotten a home equity loan, or 2nd mortgage? All of those involve determining the value of your property. In those cases does the bank go to the county tax assessor and to get the value of the property or does the bank go by market value?

Which is the value of a property which loans should be based on?

A. Tax assessor's value
B. Market value

NO I PAID CASH never had a loan or mortgage as did my dad for a house car or boat

LONG THOUGHT the tax assessor should value commercial property at current mortgage value
but NONE do that

and I bet no trump property is taxed at near real loan value let alone the inflated value the rump claims

The property that you bought, did you pay market value or the value the tax assessor's value?

You already know the answer to that. You know that tax assessors do not go by market value. They work by different rules, often written into law or local ordinances. Additionally, the tax assessment might only be done every 5 or 10 years while real estate values fluctuate month to month.

In the Trump case, NY is claiming fraud based on the tax assessor's value. No one uses that value when doing real estate transactions. The case is fundamentally flawed at its heart. The only reason the prosecution is happening is pure politics.

Otherwise, if the standard is every loan or real estate transaction based on market value is fraud, then they need to prosecute everyone that has ever bought or sold real estate and everyone that ever took out a loan for real estate.

Of course it is. Also, you'll notice that none of the lenders that he's dealt with are complaining about being defrauded.
They do their own due diligence when they float a loan. Apparently, they didn't have any issues with any of the valuations.

It's a victimless "crime", like prostitution. Only this time, the defendant is getting screwed.

If I were a business owner in NY, I'd be preparing to GTFO.
