NONE !. |

Although no lender was listed as a party they did provide proof that due to Trumps lies about the value of his property he obtained lower interest rates. So even though he repaid the loans he defrauded the lenders out of $168 million that they would have been entitled to if he had not committed fraud.

That crisis was due to LACK of government regulation. Perfect example of why we need stronger government oversight in the financial industry.

Just curious here but, didn't those lending institutions also do an evaluation of the property listed as collateral? If not, they would be the ones that should be prosecuted. I would think that the person(s) signing off on a suspicious loan value would be responsible to ensure lenders got a fair deal. And yet, those lenders said at DJT's trial they'd be happy to do business with DJT again.
I've got a few antique motorcycles I could put up as collateral, just wondering how much I could borrow against them. To me they are pricelist but.........................

How could that possibly excuse Trump for committing fraud?
Is it okay to take some ones car if they leave the keys in the ignition?
It is amazing the effect Trump has had on the way formerly rational people now think. It is okay to lie and de-fruad people as long as you don't get caught.

Trump has had no effect on how I see this situation. I've borrowed money several times in my life (always paying every penny back) and never expected the loaning agency to not check out my collateral. Therefore, if they don't, then the blame squarely sits on them or whoever approved the loan. I don't see this as my responsibility to ensure creditors get what they expect from me, that's the lender's job. As long as I meet the established and agreed upon contract, then I've satisfied the agreement. Same applies to everyone who borrows whether that is DJT or applies to Student Loans. ------------------ Rams Learning most of life's lessons the hard way. . Perfect description of 'woke' or 'TDS'.
Look at the liberal media, and what their lies have done to this country.

More bull zhit, ? who, and what proof was provided that Trumps lied about the value of his property he obtained lower interest rates. So even though he repaid the loans he defrauded the lenders out of $168 million that they would have been entitled to if he had not committed fraud. They admitted that they made intentionally bad or negilent loans ? Did they sue to get the money you say they were defrauded ?

Government regulation ... leftoid government regulation was exactly what caused the crisis and massive bailout.
Banks had to lend money to the unqualified. Enticed by the fact that they could bundle loans and get wall street to bet on them.[This message has been edited by cliffw (edited 07-21-2024).]
