I'm still waiting for the news report that describes the moment when President Biden compared the Hawaii fire disaster to a small kitchen fire at Biden's home from before he became President.
Is there a link? Can someone Copy and Paste it here?

Lightning Sparks Fire at Biden's House
| quote | Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the house, but were able to keep the flames from spreading beyond the kitchen, said Cranston Heights Fire Company Chief George Lamborn.
``Luckily, we got it pretty early,'' he said. ``The fire was under control in 20 minutes.''

"Roger that."
That doesn't make me dislike Biden.
I have no reason to think that the string of cartoons that have appeared on this forum could reasonably be regarded as any kind of rational criticism of the Biden administration's response to the Hawaii fire disaster. This YouTube video does not move my needle on that.
I refer to the string of cartoons that are all variations on this same theme, of Biden having trivialized the Hawaii fire disaster by comparing it to that years-ago fire at his own home.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 08-31-2023).]

Lets not forget the other short comings that happened in Puerto Rico. Now I would not be to quick to blame the corrupt government that has run that place bankrupt.

Do you dislike Biden because of that? Did it add anything to your already considerable "pre-existing" dislike of Biden?
I can't say that bringing up that years-ago fire at his own home was his "best plan," but within the limits of it, he carried it off well. He segued from talking about that years-ago fire at his own home, to saying that he knew that what the newly homeless from the Maui fire disaster are facing is something far worse than when he and his wife were inconvenienced.
I think the flippancy and nonchalance of President Trump's "paper towels" moment in Puerto Rico was much worse. That was the moment, during his visit to Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, when President Trump started tossing rolls of paper towels across the room, in a symbolic "Presidential" distribution of emergency relief aid. Like a mascot at a baseball game, tossing tchotchkes from the playing field and upwards into the stands, so the fans could grab them.
But you know what? I've never said that the Trump administration's response to Hurricane Maria should be judged primarily by the madcap ambience of that particular moment. And that's why I think this string of similar "Biden's home fire" cartoons that have appeared on this forum, which I believe are "Copy and Paste" from DumbNet, or Banal, or InstaDumb, or whatever social network(s) feature that content, are so dumb. Because when these cartoons appear on this forum, as they have, without any other comments of substance, I know that there's no serious thought behind any of it, relating to the more tangible aspects of the Biden administration's response to the Maui fire disaster.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 08-31-2023).]

Social media addicts, whose gullibility for fake news and conspiracy theories has just been exposed on another current forum thread, pretending like they know something about the Maui fire disaster.
"Hawaii works to pause land transactions in area of deadly Maui wildfires."
| quote | | Hawaii Governor Josh Green says he has instructed state Attorney General Anne Lopez to work toward a moratorium on land transactions in the Lahaina area that was devastated by fire last week. |
