Find a solution that doesn't violate the Constitution, a solution that doesn't restrict freedom, a solution that doesn't need the government.

"Woke Progressives" are neither.

There are 21 states, along with the District of Columbia, that have enacted Red Flag laws that are more to Everytown For Gun Safety's liking than Maine's so-called "yellow flag" law that is currently on the books and was the law in Maine when the deadly random shooting spree "went down" in Lewiston towards the end of October of last year.

I posted a regulation that prohibited polar bears from playing three card monte in my kitchen. Since then, I have not seen a single polar bear in my house. This proves that polar bears always do as I tell them.

EXACTLY!! Laws change behavior. I am glad you are finally starting to grasp this concept.

I mean, can you imagine Sam Adams saying "Governments are going to infringe on the rights of citizens even if we make rules that says they can't. So no need for any Bill of Rights. It is just a waste of time because it will not be 100% effective at stopping government from abusing its power."

Red Flag at night,
people sleep tight.
Yellow Flag morning,
people take warning.

My latest contribution to gun safety.

You don't know ? Color me not surprised. Do you need to be led by your hand ?

Someone said you suck at reading comprehension. I now believe it.

What problem ?

More people in the US die from suicide involving a firearm than homicides or accidents.

In 2021, there were a total of 48,830 firearm deaths.

Car deaths ? In 2020, a total of 35,766 fatal car accidents occurred on roadways across the United States. Another 1,593,390 crashes resulted in injuries and 3,621,681 caused property damage. That means a total of 5,250,837 collisions happened over the course of a single year.

Ban the car ?

Sure, and then drive an AK-47 to work.

Thanks for making the car comparison. It proves my point about how we need licensing and registration for guns the same way we do with cars.

"Deaths" are not the only element of gun violence. For every death there are multiple people shot who do not die. For every shooting there are multiple gun crimes where the weapon is never discharged. There are literally HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of gun crimes committed where no one gets killed. In 2022 there were about 150,000 assaults with firearms and about 40,000 armed robberies.

The United States has by far the highest rate of gun violence among industrialized countries. The fact that you do not consider that a problem is sad.

It appears some want to take my right to defend myself and my family/friends away. Come and try.
For some reason the old saying about not bringing a knife to a gun fight seems to fit in here.
The bad guys have guns and they don't care about the law so, if my gun rights are removed or further restricted, I guess I'll become a criminal. There doesn't seem to be much choice.
