Again you are just blindly parroting speaking points.
Please give an example of "extra laws" I am proposing that are used by crony capitalist to protect their position in the market. You have no clue what you are talking about.
|
|
LOL. You did not propose anything. All you have done so far is list existing laws and your feels. What original proposal do you have?

I would suggest
something like googles DON'T BE EVIL
BUT THE Gop TOTALLY FAILS AT THAT
AS EVIL NASTY AND WICKED IS THE Gop BRAND EVERY DAY IN EVERY WAY MAKE THE RICH RICHER AND THE POOR POORER
and any attempt to stop that brings out the RWNJ'S who scream COMMIES ENDLESSLY because they like it that way and are well paid to defend the 1%'s looting and will never give a sucker a break

Doesn't work if they only redefined evil. Wont get into this with you but you should not put Google up there on any pedestal.

I am asking you about "the laws these ignorant people push". That was YOUR comment, not mine. And I have no idea what you are talking about. That is why I asked.
Same with YOUR quote about "new laws" used by crony capitalists.
So please explain. It is impossible for you to be against something unless you know what that thing is, right? Unless you are just parroting speaking points like you have been trained.
BTW my number one suggestion would be for all public schools to be ran by the state with equal funding for all. The disadvantaged having to go to the worst schools while the richest go to the best is a major issue perpetuating wealth inequality.[This message has been edited by fredtoast (edited 09-24-2023).]

Then who would pick the crops... for next to nothing? No, I'm not being facetious. People born and raised in the States (and/or Canada) aren't going to do menial tasks for "slave" wages.

So you want me to do your homework for you. I'm feeling generous so I'll give you one example. Useful idiots made it so that individuals could sue businesses for ADA violations in California. As a results mom and pop restaurants all over the state were shook down by wheelchair nazis. Your restaurant was built in 1940 and does not technically fall under the ADA, too bad. You will still have to spend $10k+ to defend yourself in court or you pay the wheelchair nazi $8k to go away. You have to sell a lot of $7 hamburgers to pay off these extortionists. A large number of them went out of business. I personally know of a handful in my town. That is a crony capitalist law done for the lawyers who lobbied for it.

Gotta say... that's perhaps the first time I've ever seen those two words used together.[This message has been edited by Patrick (edited 09-24-2023).]

No. I will do all the homework to back up my claims. I am just asking you to back up your claims.

This is not true at all. Not one business was forced to close due to frivolous lawsuits over ADA violations.
Handicapped people are entitled to access to public facilities. That has nothing to do with crony capitalism. It has to do with basic human rights and dignity. I am disgusted by anyone who wants to repeal that law. It is like crying about how "mom and pop businesses" could not be profitable without child labor at 50 cents an hour.

Ah, you have not heard of the golden rule. The ones who MAKES the $100.00 dollars controls how much he wants to keep. The one with the gold gets to make the rules.

Define the American dream !
| quote | Originally posted by fredtoast: Instead of caring about the entire population they are told that it is best for a small percentage to control a grossly disproportionate amount of the wealth, and that "anyone can make it". So the struggling 90% turn on each other and try to climb over each other to get to the top instead of working together to help everyone. |
|
Caring about the entire population ? We are and have been the most charity generous people on the planet in history. We get to make the golden rules on where our money goes.
Any one can make it. I did, defeating all the obstacles in my way. I could have made it better but I was happy. Any one in business, those starting a business, do try to "climb overt" all others.
Pretend that this forum is a money making business. You are the owner. How would you distribute the $100.00 ?
| quote | Originally posted by fredtoast: But what they are not told is that in The United States the wealth of an individual is affected more by the wealth of his parents than in almost any other industrialized country. The system in place here in America is not as much of a "meritocracy" as it is in other countries. Instead, it is much more of a "plutocracy" where the wealthy use money to make more money instead of working to make more money and the benefits of wealth are passed down from generation to generation. |
|

No one needed to explain to me that family wealth is passed down. Nor that it takes money to make more money.
| quote | Originally posted by fredtoast: We need a capitalist economy to promote efficiency and innovation. But "everyone" can not succeed in a capitalist system. By definition a capitalist system insures there will be both winners and losers. So it is unfair to salesell "capitalism" to masses as a system where "everyone can succeed if they just work hard". That is not possible in a capitalist system. It is a blatant lie. |
|
There are both winners and losers in the animal world.
