Again you are completely ignoring reality.... period
Beginning in 2015 Obama enacted multiple policy changes regarding our relationship with Cuba. Cuba was struggling because their main financial supporter Venezuela, was in financial crisis due to oil prices. So it was a wise geopolitical power move to become better friends with a country so close to our border. Trade barriers and travel bans were lifted. Most Cubans were very upset by thus.
So Obama did do something to anger Cubans (not "hispanics". You should learn the difference)
basically what you are doing is accepting to opposite positions "Obama didn't do it to help Democrats win" and "Obama did do it to help democrats win" and just randomly applying whichever one fits your argument. You even admit that your conclusion that ending the policy would reduce the number of Cuban Republicans in Florida is false. Nothing about your argument matches the actual facts.

I'm so tired of going around and around with you because of your fragile ego. I'm over responding to your nonsense. You're wildly uneducated compared to most people on here, both in actual number of degrees and worldliness. I honestly don't have the time in the day to focus on you. There is nothing I can ever say that will be useful to you or change your opinion, or anything that anyone else here could say that would change your opinion on anything. So I'm going to make it a point to no longer even waste my time.

The leftist cadre here are not trying to support any ideology, they are trying to "win". That focus renders discussion futile.
Regardless of what evidence one may present, the leftists will say, "The moon is made of green cheese. You, and anyone else who disagrees with me is uneducated or a liar. I win."
If one cannot support his beliefs, but refuses to learn, he has no other option. We used to have a few now banned Neo-nazis here who argued in the exact same manner.

So I take this to mean that when you claimed Obama "didn't want to do anything that would anger Hispanics or potentially hurt Democrat's future chances in Florida.... PERIOD" you were completely clueless of all the other things he had already done including lifting trade embargos and travel bans, correct?
You are welcome for the education.[This message has been edited by fredtoast (edited 07-14-2023).]

I mean, for the most part, it's the mental anguish of trying to massage inconvenient fact against their beliefs of what they WANT to be true is what's really fascinating... and also frustrating. They KNOW they're wrong on a lot of things, but truth isn't binary to them... it's more of a faith thing. I find many Democrats view their political ideology the same way that a Catholic might view religious obligations. Which is completely wild to me.
I mean... hey... I'm Republican, but if a Democrat ran for office that stood for a lot of the things I'm interested in, I would happily vote for the guy. I'm telling you, if Trump and / or DeSantis don't run, there's a good chance I vote for RFK Junior. And not because of the vaccine stuff... I just don't have the energy to care about that anymore... but I would vote for him because I at least thing he's honest, and he has a more Constitutional view of how the government should be run... and that to me is far more important than many of his policy views that I do not agree with.
Many Democrats can't do that... because it's not really about the politics... it's about the faith...

You mean like someone claiming that Obama would never do anything to upset Cuban voters....PERIOD when in fact Obama had eased travel and trade restrictions by executive action in 2015, reopened embassies in Cuba, and in his Sate Of the Union speech asked Congress to lift the trade embargo? Cuban Born Marco Rubio threatened to block any ambassador Obama may appoint to Cuba. Ted Cruz called his moves "a terrible mistake". Even Democrats like Cuban born Senator Bob Menendez plus Representatives Albio Sires and Deborah Wasserman-Schultz.
Even when a right-winger is proven to be completely wrong by facts like this they still refuse to admit they were wrong. Facts don't matter to them.
