My Fiero has been sitting in storage for 11 years... I was 75% of the way through restoring it, and put it in storage when I started my last career (which I just quit). I'm debating bringing it back home and starting to work on it again... but life, yet again. Things were easier when I was younger... or maybe I just made time for it because it was a priority.

Any minority that wants a career can get one.

It's never a sure thing for myself. For anyone not being able to check the minority box on the erroneously named 'equal employment opportunity' portion I find that employers have to justify why they wanted a non-minority hire, because they know they'll be questioned in status meetings about who they hired by their supervisor who will be asked the ethnic and gender profiles of desired hires by human resources and are they sure they want to hire this non-minority. So it's always one of the first things considered on application/resume viewing day.

I had to work with a Cuban at my last job. He wouldn't do anything and came to work stoned, but our supervisor wouldn't even question him about either item. He had the audacity to ask me to try to train that slacker. No, that's your job, pal. Gee, I wonder why America isn't operating so well anymore?!

He once said in a meeting with that slacker, a female, a Muslim and myself that he and I as White males have to justify why we deserve being treated as worthy to upper management. He was always the first to brown nose whatever management wanted. Weird situation.

This whole debacle in Canada is very different from the BLM protests in the States that gutted cities.

Yet - the government is invoking what would normally be reserved for an invasion.
