Well who would have thunk..... An official with the Israel Defense Forces says it has carried out air strikes on Rafah after an attack by Hamas on its troops in Gaza The official has called the incident a "bold violation of the ceasefire" In response, Hamas says it is committed to the ceasefire and alleges that Israel "continues to breach the agreement"

Imagine my surprise.
Hamas is also killing "militant" (by their definition) Gazans. Where are the protesters who were complaining about "all the bloodshed in Gaza", two weeks ago? But I guess you're allowed to kill "your own".

This is about what I figured, and why I withheld comment before. I didn't think that I would have to wait too long. My opinion? IDF needs to just go scorched earth on Hamas, and anybody who looks like Hamas.[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 10-19-2025).]

This guy looks swarthy enough to qualify. Sure, take him out!

In all seriousness though, I also have "no sympathy" for the Hamas animals that were responsible for the massacre of innocent people... but to then try and justify the genocide of all Palestinians in retribution is pure madness.

I thought you were the champion of standing up. I saw videos of the innocent palestinians cheering as trucks went by with bodies, burning flags and celebrating death. I've seen the protests here in the states where they are given a voice and they still shout hate and destruction. Where is the outrage of the palestinian people against the hamas animals? Hard to do if you look in the mirror and you can't tell the difference. What about the children being brainwashed into believing that cutting the head off of someone is justified and will lead to the promise of heaven.
**** Hamas and **** Palestine for not standing up against them. It's time to call it what it is a militant regime disguised as a religious cult that has infected and ruined people's lives.

So sorry for sitting while I post at this forum!
I have no way of knowing whether any Palestinians stand up to Hamas or not... and I sincerely doubt you actually know either.
Perhaps if conditions in Palestine weren't so gawd awful, it would be more of a challenge for militant organizations such as Hamas to gain a foothold.

I've been thinking a bit more about what Jake has posted... and yes, I can understand his frustration/position... but geez, how different is this than what happened in WW2. Should every German and Japanese citizen have been exterminated at the conclusion of the Second World War because they didn't "stand up" to Adolf Hitler and Emperor Hirohito?

If they were continuing to harbor the enemy and enabling them to continue the killing, what should happen to them?

And who determines this? I certainly wouldn't trust the Israelis to make the call.
I suspect there are ways to determine culpability. It's not like this has never needed to have been done previously anywhere else on the planet.

I think the sheer logic of the fact that people part of a gang called "Hamas" are going around and shooting innocent civilians point blank ... should make anyone be able to make that call with reasonable certainty.
