What stuff, based on reading your posts, I give you credit for being college educated (if I'm incorrect on this, feel free to correct me) and not an idiot. If you don't recognize the threat then I can't help you understand.
I believe the threat is there for terrorism. Others see the threat just as I do.
As I previously said, the Biden Administration needs to consider their next steps seriously. There's a lot of folks upset about this and many other things.
Texas issues Biden ominous warning as border dispute threatens to erupt into 'civil war'
https://www.msn.com/en-us/n...ivil-war/ar-BB1hlbQt
| quote | Texas Lieutenant-Governor Dan Patrick warned Joe Biden's administration could face its "biggest mistake" if it attempted to challenge Texas National Guard members at the border.
The Lone Star state has been at loggerheads with Washington for months over Governor Greg Abbott's measures to contain and manage the growing number of migrants crossing into the US.
Earlier in the week, the Supreme Court delivered a hammer blow to the Texan Governor when it ruled in favor of the Biden administration and ordered the state to remove razor wire installed along the border.
Patrick reiterated the state's commitment to protecting the community and raged at the Biden administration for interfering with what "the American people want." He said: "The biggest mistake the Biden administration could make would be confronting law enforcement or our military, our National Guard at our border, at this park, when we are actually doing the job that the American people want.
"If they come down and create a situation, all of America already knows now they will clearly see that the Democrats are willing to take on a state that is operating under our constitutional right to protect our people."
Patrick's comments come after several Republican governors said they would be ready to deploy their own forces to Texas to help keep illegal migration under check.
Despite the Supreme Court ruling, Gov. Abbott insisted Texas will continue to deploy measures to curb illegal migration into the country.
He slammed "Biden's reckless open-border policy" as he said the razor wire is an "effective deterrent against the illegal border crossings."
Abbott's defiance has sparked speculation on whether the dispute could erupt into a clash between Texas forces and federal units - paving the way to a new "civil war."
Internet personality Terrence Williams shared a video addressed to his 1.7 million followers addressed to Biden in which he warned his administration could leave Americans fighting each other.
He said: "CIVIL WAR IS COMING SOON. You are trying to start a civil war. You got everybody in the state of Texas all bent up."
Commentator Carmine Sabia agreed, writing on X: "Joe Biden is about to start a Civil War over his treasonous handling of the border."
And GOP Representative from Louisiana Clay Higgins added that "the feds are staging a civil war, and Texas should stand their ground."
Arrests for illegal border crossings from Mexico reached an all-time high in December since monthly numbers have been released, authorities said Friday.
Border Patrol tallied 249,785 arrests on the Mexican border in December, up 31 percent from 191,112 in November and up 13 percent from 222,018 in December 2022, the previous all-time high. |

As I previously said, there's a whole lot of folks upset about this, 25 governors and even those in "Sanctuary Cities". Will we see TX NG physically confront the Border Patrol? I hope not but there is always that straw that breaks the camel's back.

Hopefully there are enough people in Texas who support the U. S. Constitution to stop this from happening.
The problem is that many people who claim they support the Constitution really only support it as long as it gives them what they want. You can't take up arms just because you lose elections. That is the direct OPPOSITE of "supporting the Constitution".

Best quote
"So as the 2024 election draws nigh with migration running high, Democratic panic will set in, and Biden—by then perhaps without the services of Mayorkas the millstone—will do something dramatic about migration. An October surprise, or maybe a September surprise. Or, if the polls are really looking bad, an August surprise."
I see immigration as Bidens biggest weakness. As soon as they started busing the immigrants to other cities the tide shifted quickly. He will be forced to do something. There is a bi-partisan immigration reform bill in the works, but Trump supporters will keep that from passing.

We agree that Biden's biggest weakness is illegal immigration within the system that Biden has bastardized. The economy would be his next issue. Mayorkas will still be in his present position, he is simply the tool, Biden sets his programming and path, the Democrats in the Senate will not convict him.
Based on the reports I've read about this bi-partisan bill, it does not appear to close down the border (again, that's based on news reports). Unlike Rinse, I don't have inside information as to what's going on with this bill. While the border has never been 100% secure, the last president had much greater success without any new bills regarding immigration.
Kind of funny how folks in "Sanctuary Cities" felt differently when Texas and other states started sending illegal immigrants to them. What they didn't seem to recognize is that the federal government was already doing that under the cover of darkness all along. Sneaky little bastards that they are.

Joe Biden’s war with Texas’ Greg Abbott threatens a constitutional crisis — but Abbott holds the high ground
https://www.msn.com/en-us/n...2672c76254ee89&ei=24
| quote | Team Biden’s border chaos is becoming a dangerous constitutional crisis, pitting Texas against President Biden.
Make no mistake: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott holds all the moral high cards here — and some legal ones, too.
With Biden refusing to enforce immigration law and millions flooding in illegally, Texas has been utterly swamped.
In response, Abbott has installed razor wire on the border and taken control of riverfront Shelby Park to deter migrants — something Biden should be doing.
Last Monday, the Supreme Court ruled the feds can cut that wire while their lawsuit against Texas and the wire plays out. Team Biden also seeks access to the park.
What a horrific political spectacle: Texas is looking to secure the border (which Biden now finally admits is not secure), yet the feds are aiming to block him. It’s madness (and not just because taxpayers get stuck paying for both installation and removal of the wire).
Admirably, Abbott is standing his ground, even vowing to install more wire.
Will the two sides play razor-wire whack-a-mole? Will it come to blows?
Former President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has urged states to surge National Guard troops to help Texas, and 25 Republican governors back Abbott.
“The federal government has broken the compact between the United States and the States,” the Texan said Wednesday.
Biden’s re-election year crisis can be described in 4 words: It’s the border, stupid The executive branch has a “constitutional duty to enforce” federal laws that protect states, he argues, but instead it’s violating those laws.
And since the Constitution gives states the right to defend themselves, Abbott has declared an “invasion” and invoked “Texas’ constitutional authority” to exercise that right, which “supersedes any federal statutes to the contrary.”
As The Post’s Douglas Murray notes, there’s ample precedent for local governments ignoring federal rules — i.e., when cities and states declared themselves sanctuary cities to protect illegal migrants and refused to cooperate with the feds.
Now Abbott claims the Constitution grants him authority to ignore the feds to keep border-jumpers out.
Abbott’s legal argument is strong, but his moral argument — about protecting the state (and the country) — is unassailable.
Only perverse open-border radicals (and pols who do their bidding) still deny the border is a nightmare, with a new-record-high 300,000-plus migrants crossing in December, and needs to be secured.
Of course, none of all this Sturm und Drang would be necessary if Team Biden just followed the law; the House just unveiled articles of impeachment against Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas over the issue.
Since Abbott’s not backing down, it’s becoming a question of whether a president who won’t act against Iran even as its proxies are killing American soldiers will instead crack down on a governor who’s simply trying to enforce the laws that the prez won’t. |

This just goes to show how clueless Biden is on the border.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/...curity-negotiations/
The problem is the millions of illegal crossings. Biden's solution:
| quote | It would give me, as President, a new emergency authority to shut down the border when it becomes overwhelmed. And if given that authority, I would use it the day I sign the bill into law. Further, Congress needs to finally provide the funding I requested in October to secure the border. This includes an additional 1,300 border patrol agents, 375 immigration judges, 1,600 asylum officers, and over 100 cutting-edge inspection machines to help detect and stop fentanyl at our southwest border. |
|
Shutting down the border only stops the legal crossings. Legal crossings are not the problem. That is just a blatant power grab for the president to be able to shut down the border at any time.
The only thing on the list that will help are the 1,300 additional border agents. What is more telling are the other things on the list. None of them do anything to stop illegal crossings. No mention of the spending on Ukraine or the other pork in the bill.
Keep bussing the illegals to sanctuary cities. I hope they all go bankrupt.
