No, I'm not reading it because after the first sentence, I immediately realized he had completely missed the point. I was pointing out that the CRA includes a lot of language about community investment and mortgage regulation. I told him to go to Westlaw and eCFR and look at history, and take a look at what rules / regulations existed at the time of the crash. Banks had rules they had to follow if they wanted to get into certain markets, and had a whole list of requirements that they had to follow in order to be part of other government programs. None of those specific rules exist today. The CRA has been revised at least a dozen times over since then... that's why I said to go to the history, but of course... like usual, he just starts rambling on about all the wrong things.
He's either a complete moron, or he does it on purpose in order to troll. I can't decide which...

I looked exactly where you told me. It is not there. The reason that you can not cite any law to back up your position is because it does not exist.
Also, in what world should I be required to do the research to back up YOUR claim?

It is okay. We all understand your fear of being proven wrong.

As I said... none of these rules are currently active. I asked you to look in the history of rule changes... but that's not really what's going on here. Fred... I mean this sincerely. When you do some of the things you do... like create a fake account, or troll, in your mind... what truly is it that you think you're accomplishing? I mean this... from my perspective... I don't think you really know. In my past career, I had to take a lot of psychology courses... and it's something that fascinates me to no end. This very thread, which you've derailed, literally speaks to what I believe is wrong with you. Let me quote it...
"Many — including a former version of myself — get trapped in a mental framework that becomes their identity and prevents them from radically evolving their thinking with new facts and information."
In effect, your entire personality has effectively become the ideology of your political affiliation. For you, defending political ideology is in effect, defending yourself. This is in stark contrast to someone like me, who could absolutely care less about the Republican party. If tomorrow, the Republican party shifted their ideals away from the things I feel are important, I would drop them faster than a hot rocky mountain oyster.
What I believe you have is a type of narcissism. Specifically... one that is referred to as anti-social narcissism. In effect, the whole world is a competition to you... and often bereft of honesty and truth, you'll do anything to win in what you view as a landscape of competition. It says nothing about succeeding or failing in it. You can often have emotion, which may be viewed as empathy, but it is never truly extended to others and is only as it affects you directly. In context, a discussion is a contest to you, not an exchange of ideas, but it's a competition for which you absolutely must win. One of the reasons I suggested that you might also have Asperger's syndrome (now just referred to as ASD) is because narcissism and Asperger's can very often be inextricably linked. It's not always, and I certainly don't want to disparage anyone with Asperger's syndrome... but narcissism carries a much higher propensity of existence among those with Asperger's.
If I'm truly being introspective... (and for the sake of showing that I don't lack judgement in myself)... I feel that I often show some tendencies of pro-social narcissism. That is... I seek to please others, and will often do things (to an extent) that I think will please others (e.g., I find validation in trying to help others). This is often called a savior complex. Literally... what I'm doing here is a perfect example of that... trying to solve what I view as your problem, regardless of whether you want me to or not.
What I have to keep reminding myself is that old adage of arguing with a crazy person, and expecting a different outcome.

This is what you do everytime I prove you wrong. You abandon the topic and write a book about me.
And I jave no idea why you keep asking me why I come here to discuss politics. I did not start this forum. Hundreds of people came here to discuss politics before I did. I don't really see the mystery you are trying to solve. I come here for the same reason as everyone else.

I am so glad you showed up for this. You are the poster boy for playing make believe without being able to post anything to support your claims.
Title 42 can not be used to control the border right now because there is no medical emergency. The Supreme Court said so, and every conservative who was suing to try and keep using title 42 completely understood this ruling. That is why not a single one of them is still arguing that they can use Title 42.
You are the ONLY one who does not get it.
You are completely detached from reality.
