Just how long do you think it'll be before legislation is introduced (by Democrats) to naturalize all or the majority of them? All while they live off of our taxpayer dollars. I have no doubt about what the Dems are intending to do. No, it won't affect the next election cycle but.......................

It seems that the Republicans in the House (and some in the Senate) won't take "Yes" for an answer.

Apparently, you're privy to those negotiations, something the press is only guessing about............. Minority Leader Mc Connell has said the politics have changed but, how so? Please enlighten us/me.

What is stopping them from doing it now? If it is so crucial to them winning elections why aren't they already doing it?
Your claim makes no sense based on political reality. You are just repeating something you heard on right-wing media where claims like that go unchallenged.

They are trying. There have been SEVERAL bills that have been proposed over the past three years in the House that attempt to provide amnesty to illegals.

Probably referring to this
https://www.cnn.com/2024/01...e-package/index.html
Former President Donald Trump’s push to kill a bipartisan immigration deal may now derail a major national security package, forcing Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to suggest a new course of action and endangering aid to Ukraine and Israel in the process.
According to a GOP source familiar with the matter, McConnell told Republicans at a private Wednesday meeting that they are in a “quandary,” given that bipartisan talks over immigration have created intraparty feuding and may have closed off a path to getting a massive package approved this Congress.

Amnesty does not grant illegals citizenship or allow them to vote. The push for amnesty has more to do with the cost of deporting all illegals and the impact of loss of labor and broken families.
All hispanic/latino do not support Democrats and the illegals only make up about 3% of the population. There is no way Democrats could ensure political dominance just by letting illegals vote. It is just fear mongering.[This message has been edited by BingB (edited 01-26-2024).]

While I don't expect for you to change your opinion, your assessment of why is way off base.

I apologize for my assumption.
It is just that the most common source of political disinformation is the media source for the opposing party.

Trump had the border under control. The Biden regime undid everything Trump fixed. The Left needs chaos.

What you say is complete nonsense. It's essentially "well understood" that the intent is for these to be new voters. Everyone knows this. It's been discussed numerous times.
Here's an article from the Business Insider (a non-partisan investment publication) essentially saying as such: https://www.investors.com/p...olitical-motivation/
Democrats have attempted to pass numerous bills in the House that would grant "amnesty" (which they mean to grant citizenship) for illegals. There have been numerous laws passed at the state and municipality level that have allowed illegals to vote. There have been tons of bills proposed, and the Democrats almost had the opportunity to nationalize elections at the Federal level for the sole purpose of everything from making mail-in ballots and ballot-harvesting allowable across the entire United States, including getting people as young as 16 to be able to vote.
Now, I'm not going to keep going around and around about your opinion. Everyone knows this... even YOU know this. If it bothers you that we all know this, fine... so be it. Say whatever makes you feel better about the situation. But this is literally an invasion of impoverished people, all of whom are sapping valuable resources on a country that is WILDLY in debt with a growing homeless population.
