The Trump administration was ruining the pre-COVID-19 economy too, just more slowly Key takeaways:
Long before the COVID-19 pandemic the Trump administration was squandering the pockets of strength in the American economy it had inherited. Broad-based prosperity requires strength on the supply, demand, and distributive sides of the economy, and Trump administration policies were either weak or outright damaging on these fronts. Demand: Most of the Trump tax cuts went to already-rich corporations and households, who tend to save rather than spend most of any extra dollar they’re given. Supply: Business investment plummeted under the Trump administration, despite their lavishing tax cuts on corporate business. Distribution: The Trump administration undercut labor standards and rules that can buttress workers’ bargaining |

Where did you get that BS? Slate? Politico? The Atlantic?
Strength of the economy that it inherited? ROFLMFAO

Because history has proven that unregulated corporate/business will manipulate consumer prices and wages through collusion, poison our air and water, exploit child labor, destroy the environment, insist on dangerous/deadly working conditions, and even cause the entire economy to collapse forcing taxpayers to bail it out.
We have to have a capitalist economy, but unregulated capitalism values profits over human life.[This message has been edited by BingB (edited 01-03-2024).]

Trump was directly implicated in the fraud for multiple reasons. One of them being that he claimed that the professors would all be hand picked vetted by him personally and this was a complete lie. He was found personally liable by the courts and eventually paid $25 million to settle.

He never made any changes without being forced to by the courts.
And "good businessmen" don't have to pay $25 million for getting caught running a scam.
