Deficits are up whenever people spend money, Trump is no more innocent than the rest; however, his increase in deficit spending and national debt increase was directly related to COVID... see here:

Trump is guilty of allowing himself to be conned by the liberals (who took power during the mid-term) and using the media to propose and push many trillions of dollars in COVID-19 spending.
Yes, from 2019-2020, it was bad... that was all COVID-19 spending, in addition to the normal budget.
Acting like this is something that was all Democrat is total nonsense. The Democrats DEMANDED that Trump pass these COVID bills, which he did.
This is literally what's happening, the Democrats proposed and passed dozens and dozens of insane spending bills which they put on his desk. They used the media to strong-arm him and make it seem like if he didn't pass these bills, millions upon millions would die. Trump passes the spending bills.
... and THEN you immediately turn around and scream that he's increasing the national debt.
Just think about that for a minute.

Leftists don't understand market economics and accordingly they can't grasp the fundamental concept of how tax cuts increase revenue.
That doesn't make sense to a Leftist who can only conceive of a simplistic, binary, "tax and spend" government operated on Keynesian economics.

Trump gave the country the vaccines you love. They were ready in November, but the drug companies chose to withhold them until January (remember that?).
Here we are... almost 2 years into Biden's presidency. He was given 3 trillion in COVID funding, vaccines from day 1, and an entire roll-out framework utilizing the U.S. military and the full force of the American government.
And where are we Ray? There's talk of another shutdown in liberal states because of the "Ninja" variant.

Trump gave away 99.999% of his salary, every quarter, every year. He did this intentionally and only took $1 dollar because it was required by Constitutional law that he get paid for the job.
Trump is the only U.S. president in history that left office poorer than he entered into it.
