By switching full US support to Russia.
Trump was Putins lap dog. Look at the way he tried to defend Russia after their cyber attack on the US.

New memos undercut Biden-Ukraine narrative Democrats sold during 2019 impeachment scandal
The memos obtained by Just the News show:
- Senior State Department officials sent a conflicting message to Shokin before he was fired, inviting his staff to Washington for a January 2016 strategy session and sent him a personal note saying they were “impressed” with his office's work.
- U.S. officials faced pressure from Burisma emissaries in the United States to make the corruption allegations go away and feared the energy firm had made two bribery payments in Ukraine as part of an effort to get cases settled.
- A top U.S. official in Kyiv blamed Hunter Biden for undercutting U.S. anticorruption policy in Ukraine through his dealings with Burisma.
So Hunter Biden some how undercut the anti-corruption policy of the United Sates, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the European Union by helping remove the corrupt prosecutor that they all wanted removed?
That just does not make any sense to me. How does getting rid of the corrupt guy that everyone in the world wanted removed undecut an anti-corruption policy?
If Hunter Biden was hired in 2014 why did it take 2 years for him to do this?
And, finally, why would Burisma want Shokin fired in 2016 when he had not even had jurisdiction over the case against them since 2015. The 2016 seizure of Zlochevsky's assets came when the case was under the jurisdiction of National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) instead of Sholkin's Prosecutor General Office.
None of this makes any sense when you know all the facts instead of just the right-wing spin version.[This message has been edited by fredtoast (edited 08-22-2023).]

Wichita has a conspicuous track record of remarks in which he uses "leftist" as a kind of miscellaneous or catch-all term for anyone or anything that he has (or thinks he has) some kind of beef with. That's the way almost all of his forum posts can be described.
One of the more recent examples was when Wichita brought up a deadly shooting spree from July, in Fargo ND, and referred to the perpetrator as a "leftist," when there's nothing in any of the media reports that would connect the perpetrator with any kind of leftist political or cultural ideology or leanings.
"Gunman in Fargo shooting opened fire for ‘no known reason,' police say" Jack Dura for NBC4 Washington DC; July 15, 2023 https://www.nbcwashington.c...-police-say/3385406/
It could yet emerge in some follow-up reporting that there is something that connects this perpetrator with an idea or pattern that is identifiably "leftist," but so far, I've found no such reports—and I've looked.
Just a reminder that taking Wichita's constant remarks about "leftists" at face value, without careful consideration, is a surefire way to end up with "egg on your face."
As to who or what has been egging Wichita on to such a pattern of indiscriminate remarks about "leftists," I have no clear idea. Maybe he's become somewhat isolated to the extent that it could be said that he would be well served to come out of his shell a little more?
This indiscrimination on his part is not cracking me up with laughter, particularly... it mostly goes the other way on that score.
A surprising aspect of this is that no one ever "calls" Wichita on this, except for myself, Patrick, and fredtoast.
When I say that "no one ever 'calls' Wichita on this," I mean that no one (except for myself, Patrick and fredtoast) ever reacts to Wichita's constant, profligate, and often ridiculous misuse of "leftist" and its related terminology.
For me, this is not a practical matter, to the extent that anything involving this Politics & Religion section could be "practical." It's just a phenomenon.. an oddity... a puzzle.
I think that Wichita interacts with this Politics & Religion section in an atypical way, among the forum members. He seems to view this Politics & Religion section as kind of a blog for himself, where he can repost whatever catches his eye on the other social media platforms that he obviously indulges in. But I don't think he's one (generally) to want to use these reposts that he creates as a way to foster any kind of discussion on this forum in which he himself might take an active part.
He comes across here almost like a current day "Oracle of Delphi" that broadcasts highly stylized ideas or messages, most often in the format of memes or cartoons, and often unaccompanied by any commentary of his own.
As I understand it, the Greeks and others of the ancient world went to consult the priestess of the Oracle at Delphi in much the same way as some current day people patronize the fortune tellers that set up shop in low rent locations in many urban and quasi-urban locations. So people travelled from near and far to consult the Oracle of Delphi to have their fortunes told, but they did not discuss any of it with the priestess, or (likely) interact with the priestess in any way, except to come before her and apprehend her words and perhaps her body language as she told their fortunes.
Our forum has its "Oracle of Wichita."[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 09-16-2023).]

I don't like okra. It's too slimy. I don't like red wine. It tastes like bile. I don't like liver. It just tastes like...well...liver.
No one ever backs me up on this. This suggests that all of you are inferior human beings, but the fact of the matter is that I am just a superior man of highly refined tastes.
(full disclosure: I had okra with my dinner last night, but that was just to prove, beyond doubt, that I am a god.)
