You do. It is called an echo chamber. It blocks out facts and just re-enforces speaking points. That is why rubes from the echo chamber are the only ones who believe there was no discussion or dissent allowed. people who lived in the real world saw it everywhere with their own eyes.

Some free speech does not mean all speech was free. The New York Post's twat account was shut down over the Hunter Biden laptop truth.
The alternative treatment of hydroxychloroquine was shut down on social media. The government even wanted to open a new bureaucracy called the Ministry of Truth.

That's "precious", coming from the Pennock's forum member who has zoomed to the top of the charts in terms of posting misinformation and disinformation on this forum.

Misinformation or disinformation—I'll just call it "baloney"—in the "climate" category about how melting ice affects sea levels... in the "crimes" category about the recent Fargo (ND) perpetrator... and baloney about the Biden administration and FEMA's response to the Maui fires catastrophe.

Those are only three examples, and two are just from the other day.

If I set out to post a full catalog of Wichita's baloney, it would be a sizable task. This forum's Search function is of no particular help. It can't be used to search this Politics & Religion section. I don't think the Google online search function is of much use for this, either. I remember a fair number of his posts that are baloney in various ways, but I'd be hard put to track them down. I could only describe them.

It's evident that he sees this Politics & Religion forum as kind of a blog for himself, where he can post the latest cartoon or meme that's caught his eye on some other social media platform, or where he can add to his ever-growing number of random hallucinations with an imaginary "leftist" theme.

He''s not one for discussion, by and large, which further makes him an outlier among an online discussion forum of this kind.

I don't have any personal animosity against Wichita. I just wonder why he does this. How does anyone come to be in such a state?

It was suspended at a time when the claims were unverified. They were also falsely presented as evidence that Joe Biden talked Burisma business with Hunter and Vadim Pozharskyi. So Twitter made the correct decision at the time. They were afraid of publishing unverified information, and they would also have been promoting false right-wing propaganda in an election year.

The video that made false claims was removed and to this date not a single randomized controlled study has shown any benefit in the treatment of Covid. But people were still free to talk about it all they wanted to on social media. They just could not link the video with the false claims.

There was zero government censorship. These random events you are crying about were decisions made by private companies who felt an obligation to protect people from false or misleading information
