Trudeau want to invoke the Emergency Act. (Page 21/22)

I think it's wonderful that so many of my American friends here at PFF have taken such a keen interest in Canada!

Canadian Parliament has one last chance to prove they are not the enemy of the Canadian people, by voting down further use of the Emergency Powers act. Trudeau has 7 days from invoking the act to its expiration, unless Parliament votes to extend it for 30 days, it expires after the 7th day.

If Canadian Parliment votes to continue the emergency powers act, they have made their bed and must lay in it. If Trudeau continues to be a tyrannical dictator, even polite Canadians will not put up with it, especially if he continues to confiscate people's bank accounts. When you take everything from people, the people have nothing left to lose.

It's the "polite Canadians" who are fed up with the protesters antics. We're all tired of dealing with COVID... but the majority of Canadians (check the polls) are not in favor of a renegade mob deciding what is best for the country. The biggest mistake the government made IMO was not acting sooner.

So you're using a word to admonish govt for infringing on rights, but really holding it against the people having their rights infringed.

There is a psychology that occurs in groups, particularly when those groups have power. I forget the official name that some PhD gave it, but it's basically where people separate themselves from all association to law and order.

Imagine for example... there's a Brinks truck full of money. The doors break open, and money is flying all over the place by accident. Everyone around you starts grabbing money. If you grab money, you are part of breaking the law... but you consider the fact that everyone else here is doing it too, and you become "caught up" in the moment. It takes a very strong person to be able to resist it.

Imagine then for a moment that you have the full backing of the Government behind you... as these police officers do. Many of them, get so enamored with their newfound power (they essentially can do anything and everything and it's authorized), that they lose all sight. This guy getting beaten (there are better videos of it), is the same thing as the guy in NY who was beaten for selling individual cigarettes (Eric Garner).

Also, welcome to friendly Pennocks! I see you're from Connecticut. I used to live there too... in Stamford.
