Man, that's some weird **** . Haha...
Can I just be honest? I don't mind Chinese people as a race, or what they've done, etc... but culturally, the ones who come from the city that are "new middle-class money" as I'd call it... they are complete assholes. They make French Canadians look like polite Southerners.
I understand they are raised in a cut-throat economic system where everyone is going from abject poverty to a decent middle class in one generation, and all the kids are raised to believe that they are God's gift to the world. But culturally... they are the absolute... I mean ABSOLUTE worst culture on the planet when they come visit other countries. When I'm over-seas... I always see them just going around like they own the place. No concept whatsoever of the fact that they're visiting another country and it's not theirs to do with as they wish.
They're ALWAYS cutting in line, ALWAYS... like, at airports, lines for rides, etc. And they shove people into elevators, even when there's only a couple of people... because that's how their raised in their society.
They live as though nothing else except them matters.

Well... it seems a lot of people take their cues from their political positions. I knew when I was in the IC, that China more or less "owns" about 2/3rds of Congress (at the time), which included people from both parties. But it was pretty obvious to me that Democrats were less concerned about China because they were the ones mostly benefitting from them. They all viewed it as an inevitability, and that it would eventually be "someone else's problem," but at least in the mean time, they could benefit from it. So, they resisted anything that was exceptionally bad against China, or feared doing anything that might accelerate China's angst towards us because they didn't want to have to deal with it... but they had no intention of solving any of those issues.
Militarily... China doesn't have the logistics we do... which is huge, but they're beating us at almost everything else right now.
