It's something to think about. Something to drill down on, if possible.
These are cities, but how far would someone have to travel beyond the city limits to reach an area where the gun laws are different, and less restrictive?[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 11-23-2022).]

Taking the guns away from law abiding citizens does not protect them from gun violence. Gun laws do not disarm criminals.
Gun laws only exacerbate the problem.
Mexico is an example. More bodies, or more accurately parts thereof, washed ashore in Acapulco last week. Remember when Acapulco was a prime resort destination? Even Elvis sang about it.

HUH, the gun criminals wont move an inch, they will just ignore the laws. Just like they do now.
The rest of us will circumvent them with something just as lethal (and as fast) but unregulated.

That depends on how well (or poorly) the particular gun laws are conceived, worded and implemented.

I agree. The best conceived and worded gun law is the second amendment.
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
It was conceived with an understanding that honest people have a right to protect themselves from evil, whatever form that evil might take. And it is worded such that that right shall not be denied to good citizens.

I guess the left could threaten to take away your children, deny you employment, freeze and confiscate your bank accounts if you refused to give them your guns.
I'm mean, they do that to people who peacefully protest against them all the time.
The leftist in Brazil, just recently, passed a law to take away children of election deniers.
I'm telling you guys, the left are not good people.

Oh, hell. Just look at Trudeaus MAID laws.
He is going to be pouring all kinds of pressure on certain groups via the doctors, and they aren't the groups likely to stand up and fight. They are already beaten-down and broken and have taken more kicks than most humans are mentally capable of withstanding. They will eventually (sooner I think) cave to the pressure just to escape it.
