They are upset about losing control of a platform.

I watch these protests and follow a few people from Iran because of this. I see no Democrats responding to any of those Tweets. As a matter of fact, they are asking for a special emoji like Twitter gave to Black Lives Matter, and they won't do it. The Democrats are so fake here... |

That particular line in the whiny Twatter employee's demand letter caught my attention too.
It was far and away the LEFT in America that protested against Shah Pahlavi and supported the Islamic revolution in Iran. Then we got the advent of worldwide Islamic terror that it brought with it and the Left just blithely shrugs and pretends they had nothing to do with it.
Love him or hate him, the thing that the Shah knew was that keeping the Islamic crazies under control and out of any power was absolutely essential.
By the way, you and I have discussed my personal history with Iran, and Tehran in particular, so it probably doesn't come as a surprise to you that I still maintain occasional contact with old friends there.
To say that they are not happy with how the U.S. under Biden is ignoring them and their current attempts at a moderate counterrevolution is a gross understatement.[This message has been edited by randye (edited 10-27-2022).]

The Shah (Mohammad Reza Pahlavi) did more to bring about the Islamist takeover of Iran than Ayatollah Khomeini or any of the other Islamists.
The only difference... the Shah wasn't trying.

I just read that he locked out all of the Twitter engineers and is having Tesla people go over all of the code.
