Is the NIMBY just a figment of someone's imagination? This is what a local newspaper has to say:
| quote | | State and Island officials, faith-based groups, nonprofit agencies and volunteers rallied quickly to accommodate 50 mostly Venezuelan migrants who arrived unexpectedly at Martha’s Vineyard Airport Wednesday, part of a coordinated political campaign to divert migrants from border states. |
|
| quote | A migrant who asked not to be identified said through an interpreter that a woman in Texas who called herself Perla approached him and his family, saying she was from an immigration organization that could connect them with sanctuary cities in Massachusetts. He said he has an immigration court date on Sept. 21 in Los Angeles.
“I think this is all a ploy to get us to miss our court dates so we get in trouble with the law and they can deport us,” he said. |

"Vineyard Community Rallies Relief Efforts to Assist Stranded Migrants" Brooke Kushwaha for the Vineyard Gazette; September 15, 2022. https://vineyardgazette.com...st-stranded-migrants
| quote | Many of migrants boarded the buses carrying new backpacks, bedding, clothing, and even stuffed animals and soccer balls provided by members of the Island community. Courtesy of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, the migrants received a donation of 30 cell phones Friday morning.
At the departure, many expressed gratitude for their Vineyard welcome, some wearing Go Vineyarders, Harpoon the Whalers shirts given them by the regional high school.
“The people here are very good people,” said Élio, one of the migrants, in Spanish. “It was a nice surprise. You don’t normally see that, as an immigrant. But everyone was so helpful and kind. I don’t know what’s going to happen but everything here was good. It was all good.” |

Martha’s Vineyard declared a humanitarian crisis, mobilized 120 National Guard troops, charted 3 buses to deport all 48 immigrants and stole $40,000 all in under 24 hours.
I’m impressed. Gotta give them Nazi style efficiency points for that one. Makes you wonder how fast they can setup Maga interment camps and round up all the deplorable enemies of democracy.

LOL. The real travesty is that Brandon doesn't have a policy to send the illegal aliens to sanctuaries. Being a sanctuary is an open invitation and to NOT patronize them is disrespectful.

Stole $40,000 ..?
Where does a "rando" like me go online to find this kind of "insider" information? I looked through some reports from national and big city "media lapdogs" and even the local Martha's Vineyard Vineyard Gazette but I didn't see anything about $40,000.

As usual, you're an AI tool that ignores the issue. They're now kicking them outta MV. Quick reaction plan for invaders of the peace and tranquil elitists. Nothing like having a "Harpoon the Whaler's" shirt (ignorant meme anyone?) on your back while ignoring what Whaler's did and the LIGHT/WARMTH/FOOD they helped provide during the early days of this once great country. Progressives and leftists, always pissing on past progress and laborious work they never had to do themselves. The individual who wrote 'The little red hen' probably were thinking of the loafer farm animals who wouldn't help plant/grow/bake the wheat as progressives.

Just as a reminder, you're trying to talk facts and sense to the same Leftist that claimed that he couldn't find any data on conservative professors being ousted from their jobs.
You cannot make someone find something that he does not want to see.[This message has been edited by randye (edited 09-16-2022).]

That's why you can refer to Leftists as "drill bits", (because a drill bit is a small, boring, tool that doesn't work unless someone else twists it...)
