Didn't the Biden admin just extend the US state of emergency?

I was thinking about your statement, I think they seem to just have picked cartain people and those who they think agree with them as the bad gov. Not realizing that handing control to the gov and not the people is the risk, any gov. That mioght be the difference in thinking patterns?

There are remarks that are so abstract that they cannot be understood, and this is one of them. "Abstract"... vague, general or generic, distant from any actual moment or event that I can connect with online news reports from that time.
In other words, "whatever are you talking about?"
I think anything that could be offered up here to "connect the dots", that has a Left-leaning or Leftist orientation, could easily be matched with a corresponding event, protest or movement from the same time frame, but with what most would describe as a Right-leaning or anti-Left orientation.
This an expression of emotion, without logic or facts to support it. It's a kind of expression that one forum member in particular has constantly railed against and derided as a hallmark of the "Left". But it's not. Not anymore (or any less) than it is an expression that is a hallmark of the "Right."
If what Fats has in mind are the Black Lives Matter-themed protests that broke out across the nation in the summer of 2020 in the wake of "George Floyd", those were not (for the most part) "anti-Government" protests. Those were not (for the most part) people who wanted to dissolve or defund(!) the government and transform the United States into an anarchy. They just wanted some changes in how government governs.
They wanted different outcomes and they wanted government to make changes in governance to those ends, but they weren't (for the most part) expressing a desire to replace government with anarchy, or even a desire to make large structural changes to the architecture of government.
"Prove me wrong."[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 02-24-2022).]

Don't go telling people what is in my mind man.
Since the 60's, the Left has been anti-Government. The "Man" is coming to get you, and all the NeoCons on the Right don't see what's happening. I'd almost bet we could find a post or two from you saying something similar.
Now, suddenly the Left is Pro Government. We'd better listen to them, they know what's up. The Government is telling us we need masks and shots, we'd better get shots. They know best.
I wasn't ambiguous on my post. I didn't just say "The Left on PFF." I said the Left in general. I didn't name one particular person (except you in this post), it's a generalization. You can attack me for that because it clearly doesn't represent all Lefties. There are some that are pretending to be Libertarians for instance and want more Government control for some reason... It's the old 99% of lawyers make the other 1% look bad thing.
