Most of the automakers decisions were made after the article was published.
Cherry pick much?
Why am I not surprised that you are so ill informed?

What article are you talking about? Where's the "cherry picking"..? The text that I duplicated in my previous post all comes from the same three reports that were published, all about the same time, in October.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 01-25-2024).]

If you would have posted links to the article(s), as is normally done when quoting something not written by the person posting, everyone else would have been more informed.
Isn't that your goal? Keeping everyone informed?
Or are you a plagerist, much like our current president, and another Forum member?

I was referring to the same reports that were posted by forum member randye.
He posted the links, and I duplicated the links when I reacted to what he said.
So I didn't make it clear (?) that I was duplicating some text from the same three articles that "randye" already posted.
I thought I was being clear about this, but apparently... not clear enough.

You should always post links when you're referencing something that someone else wrote.

Norway has become the world leader in transitioning the road vehicles that most people use from Internal Combustion Engine to Battery Electric.
None other than The Zipper himself—David Zipper—takes a close look at the pros and the cons, in this carefully researched and recently published column for Vox.
The "bottom line" according to Zipper?
| quote | | Electric cars are crucial, but not enough to solve climate change. We can’t let them crowd out car-free transit options. |
|
"Why Norway—the poster child for electric cars—is having second thoughts" David Zipper for Vox; October 31, 2023. https://www.vox.com/future-...-cars-evs-tesla-oslo
There's nothing in this Zipper snapshot that gives any substance to the two EV-related memes that were posted in this thread by "randye" and then critiqued by me.
David Zipper is a visiting fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Taubman Center for State and Local Government, where he examines the interplay between cities, transportation, and technology.[This message has been edited by rinselberg (edited 01-26-2024).]

Well yeah, but this is a roadside emergency. This is not the way that an electric car or other EV is going to be recharged, except in the odd circumstance when someone gets caught out.
The SparkCharge "Roadie" mobile charging station—battery powered—can recharge an EV that's stranded with a drained battery, and there's no reason that a battery electric vehicle couldn't be used to "tote" it... rescuing an EV that's stranded with a drained battery, and without having to resort to a gas or diesel-powered roadside assistance vehicle or portable generator.

Tilting at windmills, EV's have a place, but they won't totally replace all other types of propulsion.

I have nothing against electric cars, in fact I kind of like the idea. What I object to is the government forcing them down our throats.
Every day, we are being pushed closer and closer to Fascism. Today, of all days, we should be acutely aware of what that means.
Biden is "just following orders", orders given by truly evil people.
