And when all else failed, yes, he had folks storm the capitol. He’s dangerous.
Imagine, replace this all with a Democrat president, how do you respond? Do you say “Well he has a right to do this, it’s not illegal to call people, it’s not illegal to simply ask people for extralegal help” or are you railing against the Democrats? I mean, we already know the answer, but really think about it. The fact that so many in this country are still head over heels for this man demonstrates how sad of a state we are in right now. In many ways, it’s a failure on Democrats, but I can’t put all the blame there when the buck stops with the idiots who still believe Trump won the 2020 election. |
|
"Imagine, replace this all with a Democrat president, how do you respond?"
Democrat protestors have stormed the Capital three times in the past 7 years, two before 2020, and one recently. In all cases, they pushed past barricades, police officers, and all occupied the Capitol rotunda.
Trump tried to get Michigan and Georgia to ignore the results. He fired federal election officials that didn’t fall in line. He tried sending fake electors. He filed so many frivolous lawsuits that were laughed out of court.
... these are all four things that Democrats have done in almost every major election also, both at the Federal and state level. NONE of these things are illegal.
He tried pressuring Pence to not certify the result.
... this is also not illegal.
And this... "And when all else failed, yes, he had folks storm the capitol."
This is heresay, there is absolutely no proof that he had anything to do with people storming the Capitol. We actually have tweets and a public speech exactly stating the opposite... "
Specifically, he said,
| quote | | “I know your pain, I know you’re hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. But you have to go home now. We have to have peace. We have to have law and order. We have to respect our great people in law and order,” Trump posted on Twitter. “We don’t want anybody hurt. It’s a very tough period of time. There’s never been a time like this, where such a thing happened, where they could take it away from all of us. From me, from you, from our country. This was a fraudulent election, but we can’t play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace. So go home. We love you, you’re very special. We’ve seen what happens, you see the way others are treated that are so bad and so evil. I know you how feel. But go home, and go home in peace.” |
|
What you're doing here is spreading misinformation... stating that Trump "had folks storm the capitol." That never happened, that was not something he asked people to do.
And as for fraudulent election, I again present you the following FACTS:
- - -
Democrats got into the elections departments and... using COVID-19 as an excuse, wantonly violated state election laws to perform the following:
- Mass mail-in voting... in some cases, just sending out a ballot to literally everyone who was registered to vote. - Ballot harvesting, as in... allowing people to go door to door and collect ballots on behalf of the political party. - Ballot drop-boxes... allowing people from anywhere to be able to deliver ballots, without any verification. - Waiving registration deadlines - Waiving signature verification - Waiving proof of identity verification This allowed rampant and mass voting violations. I've gone through this whole thing before, and people say... "show me the proof, you have no proof!!!" so here it is... state Supreme Courts literally ruling that Democrats violated and illegally changed the state's election laws without the consent of the legislature. I am not familiar with any person from any party ever organizing fake delegates to cast fake votes when he lost the election.
Can you give me an example of that?

the quote by the rump was issued LATE AFTER JOE ASKED AT 4:15 THE 1-6 MORNING SPEECH TRUMP SAID
''And Rudy, you did a great job. He's got guts. You know what? He's got guts, unlike a lot of people in the Republican Party. He's got guts. He fights, he fights.
And I'll tell you. Thank you very much, John. Fantastic job. I watched. That's a tough act to follow, those two. John is one of the most brilliant lawyers in the country, and he looked at this and he said, "What an absolute disgrace that this can be happening to our Constitution."
And he looked at Mike Pence, and I hope Mike is going to do the right thing. I hope so. I hope so.
Because if Mike Pence does the right thing, we win the election. All he has to do, all this is, this is from the number one, or certainly one of the top, Constitutional lawyers in our country. He has the absolute right to do it. We're supposed to protect our country, support our country, support our Constitution, and protect our constitution.
States want to revote. The states got defrauded. They were given false information. They voted on it. Now they want to recertify. They want it back. All Vice President Pence has to do is send it back to the states to recertify and we become president and you are the happiest people.
And I actually, I just spoke to Mike. I said: "Mike, that doesn't take courage. What takes courage is to do nothing. That takes courage." And then we're stuck with a president who lost the election by a lot and we have to live with that for four more years. We're just not going to let that happen.
But you know, you know, when you see this and when you see what's happening. Number one, they all say, "Sir, we'll never let it happen again." I said, "That's good. But what about eight weeks ago?" You know they try and get you to go.
They said, "Sir, in four years, you're guaranteed." I said: "I'm not interested right now. Do me a favor, go back eight weeks. I want to go back eight weeks. Let's go back eight weeks."
We want to go back and we want to get this right because we're going to have somebody in there that should not be in there and our country will be destroyed and we're not going to stand for that.
For years, Democrats have gotten away with election fraud and weak Republicans. And that's what they are. There's so many weak Republicans. And we have great ones. Jim Jordan and some of these guys, they're out there fighting. The House guys are fighting. But it's, it's incredible.
Many of the Republicans, I helped them get in, I helped them get elected. I helped Mitch get elected. I helped. I could name 24 of them, let's say, I won't bore you with it. And then all of a sudden you have something like this. It's like, "Oh gee, maybe I'll talk to the president sometime later." No, it's amazing.
They're weak Republicans, they're pathetic Republicans and that's what happens.
But this year, using the pretext of the China virus and the scam of mail-in ballots, Democrats attempted the most brazen and outrageous election theft and there's never been anything like this. So pure theft in American history. Everybody knows it.
That election, our election was over at 10 o'clock in the evening. We're leading Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, by hundreds of thousands of votes.
And then late in the evening, or early in the morning, boom, these explosions of bull****.
And all of a sudden. All of a sudden it started to happen.
(Audience chants: "Bull****.")
Now, it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy. And after this, we're going to walk down, and I'll be there with you, we're going to walk down, we're going to walk down.
Anyone you want, but I think right here, we're going to walk down to the Capitol, and we're going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women, and we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them.
Because you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong. We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated.
I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.
Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for integrity of our elections. But whether or not they stand strong for our country, our country. Our country has been under siege for a long time. Far longer than this four-year period. We've set it on a much greater course. So much, and we, I thought, you know, four more years. I thought it would be easy.''
THAT IS THE KEY SPEECH THE CRIME THE PLOT and PLAN

Not sure exactly what incidents you are talking about but with the anti-Kavanaugh protests and the recent occupation of the Department of the Interior the protestors were not trying to overthrow the government like the January 6 insurrectionists.
There is a big difference between protesting against a policy or an appointment and trying to overturn a valid election to install a leader through violence.
In all the cases the perpetrators were arrested and charged, but only the January 6 parties were convicted of sedition.

None of these courts found any fraud or unfair advantage for either party. That is why none of the election results were set aside.
Nothing you posted proves any fraud by Democrats.

Oh boy I am going to regret this. I almost never get involved in political **** throwing but here I go.
First and foremost you guys argue like the old farts on TV. Fingers in your ears, yelling louder than the other guy to try to make a point. Zero effort at empathy, zero effort at attempting to at the very least understand the other parties arguments.
You all throw blanket stereotypes and then use them to morally justify your argument. One of the only worth while statements in this clusterf*** is Cliff and he's not even American. So, regardless of this portion of the forum intended of being a dumpster fire. Be ashamed. I know you are all better than that. (Not everyone is guilty of everything here, but everyone is guilty of something)
I'm younger than a lot of you, for most of you likely by half. I have lived in the hellhole created by modern partisan politic, without the financial base and buffer a lot of you may have built that allows you to remain unconnected by what both parties have created. I know that's not the situation for everyone, but it seems the loudest people making policy are the ones least connected by the repercussions.
Now to buffer the oncoming onslaught of typical conservative straw-man arguments used to dismiss young people. I have a STEM job, (Engineering), I worked through college and paid off 90% of my loans, out of my own pocket. (Missed the silver spoons they were handing out when I was born).
Now to dismiss the oncoming onslaught of typical liberal character attacks. I am a person of color, I have Hispanic family. I have taken all the required college social justice education.
I'm about as moderate as you can get. Most of my generation is about as moderate as you can get compared to Gen X+ We will probably polarize as we age and lives diverge more and more.but as of now we sit right in the middle and are given the choice to swallow one poison or the other. God help you if you are 90 percent conservative and just agree that something the democrats say are true. God forgive me I look at local companies dumping **** in my water and watching all the fish float up and saying hmm maybe they shouldnt be allowed to do that.
That's what happens here. You cant like one thing that Trump does better at maintaining border security without being a Putin loving insurrectionist. You cant say hey, not a fan of Biden foreign or economic policy policy but the ole boy does okay with pushing good growth for domestic transportation. All that happens is the actual problem gets pushed under the table while the subjects diverge into "Trumps a insurrectionist" (undetermined, none of you a effing judge and jury to make the call) or Biden's a kid-diddler (Yeah his behavior on camera around minors is uncomfortable, that's just the fact, again you aren't a judge and jury)
Conservatives act like everything that happens is a conspiracy, that its all deep state Jewish intrusion. They are so busy trying to blame all of our failures on something other than human greed, they allow real crimes to go unchecked, led around by fox news - tom tucker - Alex jones quackpot bullshit, like a dog on a leash.
Democrats are so high on "muh - democracy" they blatantly deny human nature and refuse to believe institutions (medical, educational, judicial, electoral) can be manipulated by foreign entities. Except when its convenient. Apparently the Russians, who can't take over a country with one quarter the economic firepower of Ohio, are capable of rigging our elections. But its absolutely impossible that a disgruntled poll worker may or may not disposed of votes they didn't like (for both parties). CNN tells you to obey and obey you do.
Its so permeated into our lives, you can't even go on a niche sports car forum without there needing to be a politics section. So you can tell all the other Fiero lovers why their politics are wrong. This part of the forum could be used for recognizing actually important and relevant topics to us like the SEMA RPM act. But no you need to voice why you love the spray tanned tumble weed or the kid loving geriatric, or why they are both bad or blah blah blah.
What did I prove here? Nothing you don't already know. Nothing is sacred anymore, not the constitution, not freedom of speech. That goes for both ****ing parties by the way. Republicans love the 2nd amendment but the second the 1st amendment means you cant have a Christian ethnostate, just like Democrats love it until someone says something that hurts there feelings.
I stop in the Politics session now and then hoping to see something relevant to the incoming doom that is EPA reform, but the more I see the names are really really good people in here bashing each other over this stupid **** . I finally decided to say something. I'm just so disappointed.[This message has been edited by Dukesterpro (edited 01-17-2024).]

Are you referring to the potential Chevron decision (which could happen as soon as today... did it already happen)? For what it's worth, that doesn't only affect the EPA, but in fact... will likely have an effect on all Executive Branch agencies as a whole. I think the initial transition will be a little scary, but presidential authority has too much power, and the Legislative branch has allowed too much of their power to be ceded to the President. These things need to be implemented in law, not Executive fiat through dictatorship to the agency chiefs and directors.

That is exactly what I said.
A majority of the population is centrists, but Washington is currently a shambles due to extremists from both parties. It is because so many districts have been gerrymandered so that we already know which party will win. Those districts often end up electing the most extreme candidate from that party.
