I think some people are hugely benefitted by being able to transition, and to having the gender reassignment surgeries.
Calling them all out, indiscriminately, in the same terms as Wichita just used—"mentally ill leftist male"—is a particularly stupid kind of gaslighting. I would wager that some of them actually like Trump and think of themselves as MAGA. And others among them, not interested in politics or ideology. Not even interested enough to have voted.
The other thing that Wichita has glossed over is that the Suncorp Gender Affirmation Leave is 6 weeks of paid leave, and up to 12 months of unpaid leave. Wichita described it as "taking a whole year off on [Suncorp]."
