Although I think the new Challenger (2008-) is better looking than most other cars, I think it's belt-line is too high....So, being bored, while stuck at home due to breaking my left clavicle, I decided to muck around with a pic of one in Paint....I think it looks much better.....what do you guys think?

The modified one looks better. Why? Because it more closely resembles the first generation Challenger... which looks the best by far! I also feel that Dodge blatantly ripped off the look of the '67-'69 Camaro, but maybe that's just me.

I know this is an older post, but I missed it and I love what you did with that Challenger. They've always looked 'fat' to me, kind of like every American pickup truck after the mid 90s. Like all of our cars now have a beer gut.

A necessary evil because of the newer side impact crash standards. That's why the beltlines are so high on the Challenger and newer Camaro (and most other recent cars).

I was under the impression it was done for stylistic purposes. By raising the beltline, and reducing the height of the glass all around, it mimics the appearance of a lowered roofline... of a chop top (although IMO it fails stylistically on the newer Challengers and Camaros).
