Paint Experts: Do I Need to Sand This Primer? (Page 1/1)

Edit: Never mind. It is orange peel. I'll sand it. I'll give 800 grit a try.

I have never painted a vehicle before. I just finished spraying epoxy primer on my truck. I am wondering if I put it on too thick. It feels rough to the touch after two hours of drying. Is this normal or am I going to have to sand it before I put the base coat? If I do need to sand it, what grit should I use?

I took a relatively close up picture to show the texture.

Definitely needs sanding . 600 wet or dry will get you good results and should sand easily . also cut back on paint flow on gun .
