Dodge Truck A518 rebuild help (Page 1/1) sleevePAPA APR 15, 09:21 PM The 46RE/a518 trans in the old '97 SS/T is starting to let go, and I want to rebuild the trans before anything serious happens. It has junkyard markings on it and has held up well for the last 6 years, a few cross-country trips hauling my cars, and many trips with my flooring equipment and tile. I think she deserves a good rebuild for all the hell I put her through, lol. Ironically, the dodge truck forum im a member of, hasn't been much help, I guess if I was looking for HID lights or a Kool air intake, there would be more help. Right now Im looking for a master rebuild kit that has as much of the wear parts as possible, some kits only contain the clutches and steels, one kit has what I need but missing a few parts I want, and the other has what I want but not what is needed. Im hoping someone could help me pick out a good kit, doesn't have to be ultra high performance, but something that will hold up for a long time. Thanks!
