What other cars besides fieros do you own/have you owned? (Page 15/15)

Wow,

A lot of folks have had cars that I've wanted in the past. I don't have pictures of all my cars, so here's just a chronological list.

Acquired in 1995: 1988 Plymouth Reliant K. Tan exterior, burgundy interior. 4 cylinder, between highway and city driving, it didn't get much better gas mileage than my '94 Town Car!

Acquired in 1997: 1994 Plymouth Voyager minivan.

Acquired in 2001: 1994 Ford Tempo

Acquired in 2002: 1990 Ford Thunderbird

Acquired in 2003: 1994 Lincoln Town Car
- during the time I owned this, is when I got my first Fiero, an 86 GT, from my sisters ex-husband. Came with an Archie swapped 350 (basic kit)

Acquired in 2013: 1995 Cadillac Deville (if I knew then what I knew now, I would have kept that car to part out and kept it's transmission, versus donating it and only getting to write off $500)
- Still had my Fiero and my '94 Town Car

Acquired in 2016: 2003 Town Car
- This year donated both 94 Town car and the DeVille (Deville was in immaculate body/interior shape, but the electronic rear suspension was shot, and the transmission axle seal had worn through because of the suspension issues causing the axle to always been at an odd angle, and it got to where it was leaking transmission fluid like a sieve. I didn't know Mike well enough yet to ask him to fix it, and quotes I was getting was 1500 to 2500 to fix something with 100 in parts and had a KBB value of only around 1k.

Acquired in 2018: 1987 Fiero GT - my current work in progress (check out the Construction zone, start on page... 11 I think? for this build. I probably should have started a new thread. :/ )

Today is the day of TWOS....And it is Tuesday....Coincidence?

My first car was a 1972 Mercury Comet GT....I wasn't really interested until the guy started it up- It had Glass packs.....It was gold with a black stripe that did not really follow the lines....So I first got some wheels and tires, then painted the lower body with flat black- it would have looked like an old man with his paints pulled way up, but I came up with the idea of leaving a gold strip the width of the side markers to improve the look. Owned from 1977 to 1983.

Owned a Mustang II for 1.5 years....Absolute crap- poorly engineered.....They should have made the next 'Stang on the Maverick/Comet chassis. My next car was a>>>>>FIERO!
1985 SE V6 ordered from the factory- delivered on May 22. (You guys know what they look like)

Next, I bought a 1973 Mustang mach 1.....Swapped in a 5.0 FI engine, 4 speed trans, Fiero seats, Cougar dash, Buick Riviera side mirrors, and made an airdam, while blocking off the upper grill- glued that car down really well (If you know 71-73 Mustangs, you know that the back end is great aerodynamically, but the front end is a disaster- Stock, it was floating at 65 with a angled headwind- after the airdam, I had it up to 95 mph passing three semis on H97 near Mt. Shasta- Rock solid! )

Sadly, I had reoccurring problems with the AOD trans and my new job was a long commute, so I then sold it for a 1999 Firebird Formula

Later, I changed to a Ford Escape, then later still a Chevy Uplander van (But I don't wear a mumu nor have any soccer balls!)

The boat is a 1977 Glastron/Carlson CVX-20 Jet; 460 Ford w/400hp- great ski boat and handles like a giant (And fast) Jetski.

Right now, a '21 Lexus IS and a '22 Lexus NX. The new NX just came in a couple weeks ago.

Besides my '88 Fiero GT which was sold long ago, I've had:

  • '98 Chevy Malibu
  • '98 Infiniti QX4
  • '78 Chevy Camaro Z28
  • '91 Geo Metro
  • '05 Nissan Altima
  • '13 Mazda Mazda2

Most vehicles were automatic, but I've had a few manual transmission cars as well. I prefer manual, but you can't get most cars in manual transmission nowadays.

Hi, my name is SKJSS and I have a car addiction.... In my driveway/garage at the moment....'86 Fiero GT, Toyota Prius C, BMW 128i, Porsche 996, Porsche 986. I've got a couple cars on the way to me and will soon be selling the Prius (and maybe the 986).

In my life, I truly don't know how many cars I've had. Best ballpark guess is 125. All kinds of stuff and it's been a blast!!! Like I said, I have an addiction.

I have had a lot of fiero's and Fbody cars over the years...

I currently own the following

1988 Fiero GT, white 5spd
1999 Cadillac Escalade, black
2002 WS6-Trans Am, black auto
2010 Corvette Grand Sport, torch red auto
2014 Cadillac CTS, opulent blue metallic

2 cars I have gotten rid of in the last 3 years that I regret. My 2006 Grand Prix GXP, displacement on demand delete with full tune for 87, 91 and 93 octane...just had to flash with HP tuner and then my 2014 Cadillac XTS Vsport 3.6 twin turbo. I am pretty happy with what I currently have. I might get rid of the CTS and get a CT6 Blackwing if I can get my wife to be ok with it since she drives the CTS the most. I plan on picking a C8 Corvette up here in the next 2-3 years when the madness is mostly over.

Wow! Lots of interesting rides.
An update since this post... https://www.fiero.nl/forum/.../HTML/000442.html#p3

In 2019 I bought a "new body style" Ram 1500.
We moved to a farm, and I needed 4WD. (Heck... I managed to get the stupid Silverado stuck in my back yard in Douglasville. )

I have since lowered/leveled the rear, and added black step bars. Otherwise, not much of anything.

I also bought an 88 coupe for the purpose of doing a swap.

For a brief period, I also owned an 86 SE that had belonged to one of our club members, and a good friend, who passed a few years ago.

I decided to let it go, since I really didn't have the time - or other stuff - to mess with it. (All my spare parts and skills revolve around 88s.)
But at least I didn't take a loss on it.

Other than that, not much, automotively speaking.
I still have a "want list", however.

I'd really like to find a Hyundai Genesis coupe with a 3.8 and a manual trans that hasn't had the snot run out of it. Kind of uncommon, these days. (Gave up on the FRS/BRZ. Too small.)
I'd also like to find a V8 short body Trailblazer or Envoy, to play with. Or maybe a 2007-2014 Tahoe, but they're still going for stupid money.

2017 Subaru Legacy Limited 36R (bought new for my mother)

2014 Tesla Model S P85+

Still looking for my next car, just waiting for the worst car buying market in history to cool off.

I've owned a ton of sports cars.
