My friend actually had a second gen rx-7 with an ls1 with ls7 heads tuned on E 85 T56 tranny. Had I think 315s on the back of it and he spun everywhere. He was runing 11.5 through the quarter.

Rotary engines are kinda picky, but can be thrown together in a hurry. Apex seals are the only real problem everyone runs into. Kinda like piston rings, they wear out. Just a little quicker than our rings, possibly because there is only one, and it doesn't exactly move in a standard circular motion.
