i have a 1/4"attachment for a battery drill and also a 3/8 battery rachet.its great when something is attached with many screws.im guessing this would also work with repairing the front hood.

Yeah, the hood, roof panel, and decklid are all SMC. The other panels, sometimes people call them SMC, but they're actually RIM and RRIM.
