I bought a bunch of them from the local junkyard (used of course) every time a TTOP Fiero showed up in the junkyard. I'd ship them out, people would ***** about the shipping and get mad at me, I'd end up losing money on it, but at least I saved three sets of TTOPs. :/

If you find another set, let me know, I won't complain.

I’m sitting on a set of new panels. I also have several sets of caps for the posts.

Mine are still wrapped in plastic.

I installed new new glass too. But I used glass polish to save the original glass for spares as good died glass is rare.

It was a long time ago... back in the late 90s / early 2000s in South Florida. There were at least 5 new Fieros in the junkyard every single week. They'd bring them in on Thursday, crush em by the following Friday. Several of them were 88s, most of them were loaded, and it was rare that I saw any that were really clapped out. Lots of getrags, performance sound subwoofer kits, you name it. Most of them had some kind of aftermarket thing from the Fiero Store (like the glove box, or the little tray that its behind the shifter in the radio). There were so many Fieros, I can't even tell you. This is where they all ended up... because it's sunshine all the time.

I grabbed every T-TOP set I could find and would sell them on eBay. I sold one set to someone on here from Hawaii who got really upset about the shipping price. I told him to pay me a certain amount based on estimated shipping, which he balked at, but paid it... (it was harder to estimate shipping costs back then). When I went to ship it, UPS wanted basically double that. So I paid it... which resulted in me actually losing like over 40 bucks on it in total costs (not counting my time). When the guy got it, he was furious that it cost even more and yelled at me, said he wasn't going to pay the extra shipping cost (which I didn't ask him to do), and then gave me a negative on eBay for it (which you could do at the time back then for no reason). I was like... man, this is lame. The dude was a hot head from the very beginning. Don't even remember the user on here... probably for the best.

It does go to show... re: the whole Fiero Factory thread above this one. There's a lot of really good people in this hobby... but there's also a whole other kind of people that ruin the hobby for everyone else. I used to make a little bit of money on the side selling parts for Porsche 944s, 928s, 911s, that would end up in the junkyard. We got Maseratis, Triumphs, Fiats, you name it... so I'd buy stuff if I could get it for cheap, and sell it on eBay. Usually went pretty well. Most of my problems happened with Fiero people, unfortunately.

When we talk about Fiero T-Tops were there two versions; factory and aftermarket? Whatever the case T-Top glass doesn't go bad so if there are surface scratches they can be polished out with a mild abrasive compound. ,

There was a very early glass that fit with no halo cap on the roof. It was wider. They were on the very early conversions. Few were made.

The later had the aluminum trim halo cap and it used to the shorter glass we all know.

Well you can polish it out but you must do so very slow and careful. The glass is tempered and if you get it too hot it will shatter into a thousand pieces.

I cleaned mine up but it too hours of slow and careful polishing with glass polish. Used lots of water too. Most glass people will refuse to do it. I even did the side glass. But the some thing.
