Silodrome:
Interestingly one of those Ferrari replica designs was the Pontiac Mera – it had a bodykit designed to emulate the Ferrari 308 GTS which was being used in the popular Magnum P.I. TV series in the 1980s.

159 of them were made and sold through Pontiac dealers in the USA before the Ferrari lawyers got involved and shut the operation down.

Nice car, great condition. It looks like a Ferrari but doesn't drive or handle like one. For a few bucks more you can buy the real deal.

A Few Bucks More?

You mean tens of thousands more as the 'average' used Ferrari 308 GTS in the USA are asking $60,000 and UP...

Didn't realize that older used Ferrari's brought in that much so let me change my statement that you can buy a nice early 90's Corvette for that.

120,000 miles seems very high for this car.. was the high bidder at $12k but it seems the marketing is paying off. It’s over $14k right now and looks like it will hit $17k.

I had a person selling his grandmothers 308GTS for $17K here in California. The only reason I didn't buy it was that the kid had it repainted purple as well as the factory wheels had been painted purple. For me to restore the car back to the factory color and CAREFULLY remove the paint from the wheels, I passed on the deal.

Ferrari is like the stock market except the cars go up and down in value for no apparent reason. You just have to keep your eyes open every month. I've seen 308's go for 20K, then they skyrocket to 80K, then back down to 40K a few months later. It's a strange world with owning a Ferrari.
