I have mixed feelings about that place. I was supposed to go to a photography event there awhile back, but at the last minute they apparently got a better offer and cancelled our event. The old man that owns the place acted like he never heard of us while his daughters who apparently run the place were totally unhelpful. I'd still go sometime.... There's tons of cool photo opportunities.

Yeah... it seems like the older guy just enjoys doing what he's doing... and has lived there his whole life. I've talked to him before, and he's really nice. My daughter was talking to him about Pontiacs, and he was flabbergasted when he asked if she knew what Pontiac used to be called, and she said it was originally a model from Oakland Car Company.
I think the son more or less manages the day to day stuff... but the daughter's view it strictly as a business... or perhaps a means to an end. That's probably why your event was cancelled... even though once an agreement is made... they should honor it. But yeah.
My daughter also gets upset when she sees cars rotting in a junkyard, so to speak... so I basically told her that if it wasn't for this junkyard being unique... all of the cars in here would have been crushed a VERY long time ago.
It is sad though... like, there's a perfect 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ in the yard. I mean, the interior is shot... there's animals probably living in it. But the body is totally straight. Lots of cars... and like TruboSlug said... there's cars in there that are super rare, like that 1st generation Ford Capri...
There's at least 50-60 cars in that yard that you could sell on eBay *today* and they'd probably make a killing.

What’s sad to me is that they were brought to the property, parked and then left to rot without any concern to cover them from the elements. Rarity of some of these cars gives this place some clout but other than that most of them are full blown rust buckets. On another note, I saw in the attached video a 64-66 white or beige Stang sitting on top of a roof? Here’s an event bigger machine sitting on top of a roof. Bet you didn’t know Kenworths can fly? 😀 Kit[This message has been edited by Kitskaboodle (edited 06-16-2025).]

So, just, believe me, just- wondering if they sell any of those vehicles? You start daydreaming about yanking that poor Fiero out of there. Just popping the truck would allow a look at the upper frames rails and it is Georgia where I believe road salt is less of a problem, no?

From what I've heard... they're pretty pricey if you actually want to buy a car from there... they don't really give you a title either. Probably wouldn't be worth it... but if you look carefully, it seems like the hood and front fender is a little trashed too...

in my area they claim they can't sell them because they don't have a title.

Yeah, looks like something might have fallen on the hood; image that happening there...
A bill of sale is all that's needed in some states.
