So I noticed you can buy New calipers on Rock for the 84/87 fiero.

Has anyone used them ?

I was looking at them the other night. It looked like they had plastic pistons. I’m interested in other people’s experience as well.

Aren't the originals plastic, the ones gm originally installed? Sure metals better, but it's not "cheap" or "junky" if that's the original design.

Edit, yeah pre 88 front ones are plastic, rear are metal, have to be for the screw parking brake mechanism, I would imagine the replacements are also metal. The plastic is cheaper to make, and insulates the brake fluid from the heat of braking.

Anyone know what other cars had these calipers and what year they stopped using them?

Are the rear specific to the fiero?
