New here:) (Page 1/2)

Hi everyone
Brand new here, new to fiero’s but not cars
I spent most of my time on earlobe beetles and recently an older Chevy

When I was a teen I loved the fiero but could not afford one fast forward to now .
I could definitely have probably found a better candidate to start
One it didn’t start and needs a slave cylinder as well as suspension work
Along with a mess of other stuff
I’m sure I will be in here from time to time asking questions
I’ll see if I can post a couple pictures
We dug it out of the snow a week ago
Sounds like the starter is dead along with zero tension on the e-brake
Nice to hopefully meet everyone

Hello! Beautiful car. Good luck with the restoration.

That's a nice looking Fiero!

And it appears to be cosmetically good. Which is a good thing. Paint and body work are very expensive.
Barring rust issues, everything about the mechanicals can be unbolted and replaced. And pre-88 mechanical parts are not difficult to find.

As we say in the south... "Ya' done good!"

Welcome! Judging from the snow, you're not on the coast. What area of BC are you located?

Hey Patrick I’m actually in Abbotsford
The car came out of the Princeton area
It looks better in the pictures
It needs lots of work but I’m pretty handy I’ll get it all sorted out in time

Ah, that explains the snow and rather stunted tree growth (compared to the coast) in the photos.

If the starter needs replacing, make sure to replace it with the newer style, smaller, much lighter starter. I can supply a link to some discussion here about that starter if need be.
